My car is in today having the unit replaced, full warranty. The people at Dadeland have gone above and beyond my expectations! Thanks Jasmine at Dodge cares for being ready to help! My first dealer service. I hope it's my last, but at least I can expect this kind of treatment from Dodge! Good luck guys, sounds like it could have been expensive!

we just noticed the same thing has happened to my girlfriends 2017 dodge challenger, I am calling today to set up an appt for the service department. I hope we are able to get this resolved with no issues since we are still under 3 year 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty.
@DodgeCares, if we get push back from the dealership is there someone I can call to help get this pushed thru and replaced?

One thing I would do is get some uv protection placed on the windows. Considering Dodge takes care of fix this time, you have to consider down the road when this may happen again. Will we have to pay then? I'm not taking the chance. I never have been a fan of window film and the lower visibility but did not hesitate to get 3M installed on my car, including clear uv film on the windshield. The ac unit will thank you too!

I'm having the same issue with my 2017 300 S. It started in July and as soon as I noticed it I started documenting it with photos - . Mine has been peeling since July and it's quite ugly now. You also can't use the radio half the time because it receives all sorts of crazy input, like someone is constantly tapping random stuff.

I didn't know what it was at first so I waited and kept taking pics. My local dealership claimed that there just had to have been some kind of "excessive pressure" applied to the screen to cause this to happen. I showed them the pics and told them it was the digitizer separating from the display. They wouldn't listen and tried to get me to pay for the repair up front and then IF the warranty claim was accepted they would give me a full refund. I called Chrysler and a few days later someone from Uconnect contacted me. I sent them the pictures and just a few weeks ago my case manager contacted me to say they were going to pay for the replacement and would get it all set up with my dealership.

Friday I got an email from him asking about what the dealership offered. I told him yea they did offer that but the car was under warranty and I didn't have the $1200 or so dollars they mentioned to gamble with on an "if". I'm still waiting to hear back. I'm going to give it till the end of this week and then I guess I'm going to lawyer up. It's obvious the screen is defective and the car is under warranty. I should not have to jump through this many hoops for such a simple issue.

I may end up spending $1200 but I intend to hold someone's @$$ to the fire over this if necessary

I just purchased a 2018 t/a with only 380 miles. I had the car shipped from Dodge dealer in Georgia to NY. When the car arrived in was perfect condition except for the 8.4 touch screen. The upper left side of the screen has the same issue others here are talking about. Mine is almost 1/4 down and half way across. This issue concerns me and will have to have the local dealer look at it which I hope they don't give me a hard time because it really looks bad. Any advice if they make excuses? Thank you

The upper left side of the screen has the same issue others here are talking about. Mine is almost a quarter inch down and half way across. This issue concerns me as I will have to have my local dealer look at the screen. I hope they don't give me any excuses because it really looks bad and I'm concerned it will get worse. Any advice if they say it's not covered? Thank you

I s/w the dealer that i purchased the car from and they looked at the pictures I sent. They explained to me this is covered under warranty and that if the dealer here has an issue they will call them. Thank you

While you are at the dealer you might look into a sun screen for your T/A.

I tried to find one for my Hellcat and the local dealer had a good number of sun screens but not one for my Hellcat.

He told me I wanted Part # 1544 from HeatShieldStore,com. Price: $39.95.

I just visited the site and checked and for a 2018 Challenger windshield, for my Hellcat (and your T/A it would appear) the part number is in factd Part # 1544.

While you are at the dealer you might look into a sun screen for your T/A.

I tried to find one for my Hellcat and the local dealer had a good number of sun screens but not one for my Hellcat.

Well I had my radio replaced today. Took a month to get in. When I turned on the radio I no longer had xm. I called the support number and when I gave them the id number it turned out was registered to a Ronald Harper certainty not me. It appears that they gave me someone else's problem radio and has been refurbished. I am not happy that I gave up a new unit for some used one that may have a problem at any time. You pay 40k and get a used part. What makes it more annoying is that the subscription ends in a month because it is under his name. My car is a month old and I should have at least 11 months left on the subscription.

I ran into a similar problem when I owned a 2011 Challenger R/T Classic. The problem was that the rear speakers wouldn't reactivate after a phone call. The dealership ordered a replacement (notice I didn't say new) radio.

Like you, I discovered that my Sirius/XM subscription wasn't transferred over. When I called Sirius/XM, they told me that the replacement radio that I was given had suffered so many problems that it was supposed to have been destroyed and they would not activate a subscription on it. After an embarrassing conversation with the Service Manager, they agreed to order a "new" radio. No idea if it was actually new .... but it worked and that was all that really mattered.

I sometimes wonder if some businesses don't just string things along until they wear you down.

I don't know a Dodge dealer is obligated to replace with a new unit, but if that's what they said they would do, then that's what they should have done. I'd be asking for a replacement, and whether they guarantee your remaining XM subscription applies, or they pay for 1 year.

Easy for me to say as I don't have to deal with the aggravation, but you have more than just the XM issue now, not knowing if you got someone else's intermittent problem radio now...

I agree! how do I know what this person experienced with this radio prior to me? I am so pissed to say the least as I purchased a new car and expect to have a new replacement. On top of this when in proformance page the menu is not the same as before. Maybe due to a software update? Should I call the dealer and get into with them?
