27,800 and the 1000 rebate for a 2011 R/T 6spd, with Toxic orange paint, and r/t hood to fender stripes. 27F package I think, aka standard base package. Of course that is plus tax, lic, extended warranty.

With the rebate that is about $4,400 of of MSRP. The best quote I have gotten on a 2011 is $3,300 off of MSRP. Sounds like a good deal if you like a base model.

It is exactly what I was looking for!!.. I did not want leather interior.. as it will blister you on a hot day here in AZ.. it was 114F today. I wanted a stick, and I did not need/want navigation.

I figured it was a bait and switch price, as I found it online. I drove there and it was there, the sticker price was 30,900 I think, I had printed out the online price, and they honored it. There were some funny looks at the price from some of the guys working there LOL. one of em said that the owner does this every now and then, I just happen to get my timing right.

The best deal I was offered on a new 2010 was $5,500 off of MSRP. That was for an automatic and I think you can do better for a manual.
Yesterday I looked/drove a 2010 R/T Classic, Fushia, auto, loaded, stickered 39k, clearanced to $34,750. Salesman says bottom line. Still less than 50 miles on it. Wife likes the color and white seats.:notallthere:

Definitely sounds like they are holding out on you. I would flat out ask them what is invoice and how much is Dodge giving you.

Is $20/month going to have any impact on your life? My guess is probably not.
My feeling during the buying process was that it wasn't so much about how many pennies per month I was saving -- it was about feeling like I was getting a good (reasonable) deal, that the seller was willing to compromise, and not feeling like I was being misled or deceived.

To me those were reasonable expectations, regardless of what the final cost of the car actually was.

Only one (local) dealer did all of the above well, and that's where I wound up buying the car (2011 R/T 6-spd, $200 below invoice).

Has anyone gotten a good deal in Texas in the last month? Specifically the DFW area if possible. I talked numbers with a dealership salesman today and he wasn't hungry at all. I figured end of the month and end of the quarter with the model year ending, they'd be looking to sell a car. Apparently they weren't. He wasn't moving more than $200-300 off MSRP, even when I told him I'm looking for something around invoice. We never ever got to finance options. Does telling them you'll be buying outright (no financing) make a big difference to them or something?

Stopped into a local dealer here in Fort Worth, MSRP 38625, they wouldnt come down any more than 2900 off that, said i was getting bad information, (comparing some of the info from here), said the 2900 was no profit. I have yet to shop him around. Found another up in Denton I'm going to try this weekend.

That seems to be the going price as far as I can tell. That is basically invoice plus the $1000 incentive. I have only found one place that was willing to go much lower than that out of about 30 or so quotes I have gotten.

Just bought a 2011 R/T a couple of weeks ago. I am in the LA area of
CA, and I paid $750 under invoice, plus incentives of 1K bonus cash,
and $500 loyalty cash, as I was a Grand Cherokee owner. They are dealing under invoice on them here. Sticker was 34285, invoice 32744, and I paid
31994 plus 1500 in incentives brought it down even more. Overall a very good deal.
How much did you pay in tax. I live in LA and I am thinking of buying my car out of state to avoid the tax

Must be nice if LA has a rule/law that you don't pay sales tax on car purchase out of state. Georgia used to.. but now, if you buy from a dealer out of state, you pay sales tax before you can register it in Ga.

Sucks....

That may be the case here in LA as well. I do not yet know what I am talking about. But, I would sure like to avoid LA's near 10% tax
If anybody knows, please tell me:)
