I know somewhere out there are some guys that have attached the Hurst universal pistol grip to their automatic Challengers. My question is: the Hurst handle (and adaptors) are threaded, yet our shifter post isn't...so, how did you guys mount it?

I drilled a small hole in the front of the handle at the base, bought a small tap at home depot to thread the hole and used a metric allen head set screw from home depot.

I used beveled rubber washers from home depot. I had to sand the washers outer edge a little to get it to fit in the hole on the bottom of the shifter, then drilled the washer center hole out a little and it went right on. Only prob was when it was 100 degrees out it became loose because the rubber heated up. I like the drilling a hole in the front and using a allen screw idea much better.

I have since put a mopar t-handle on and taken the pistol grip off. Ill sell it to you for 20 bucks if you want it...i think new they are closer to 40.
