I have finally decided on what to get next and no its not a Hellcat. I really REALLY want a Scat Pack 392 auto in B5 blue (whenever that color comes out) and have the SHAKER option on it. Reason im not into the Hellcat is because Ive already done the 700 HP plus club and its run out of my system. LOL. I just done need the big HP to make me happy anymore. I love the looks of the 392 Shaker. Also, I actually HATE leather and you cant get cloth seats in a Hellcat. One more plus for the Scat Pack. :)


So, whenever the B5 and Shaker are available I might just have to get one on order.


The Scat Pack CHARGER was on the list but I still cant get over that front end. It just never grew on me enough to like it. Its not bad looking but I don't like it enough to get one.

That is a big one for me too. I absolutely had to get cloth seats.

You'll like the Scat Pack. :thup:

Are you going to miss 4-doors? I only ask because you already had a Challenger and moved on...

It's going to be hard going back to 2 doors but I will get used to it. The challenger is the best looking car on the road right now. The new mustang is butt ugly and from the spy shots of the new camaro it's going to be butt ugly too. The new charger is not a bad looking car but it has not grown on me like I thought it would.

I hear you, I just absolutely love my Challenger, wanted one since the day they came out. I'm contemplating going back to a 4-door now but I don't want to get just anything, and I agree the new Charger is...ok...but they new front end is pretty Robocop, and not in a good way. But a Scat Pack Charger on the cheap would be a great car, and the potential for a 4-door Hellcat could make me forget how indifferent I am about that new front end. Decisions...decisions...

While I know I do not have the 15 model year updates - most importantly the 8-speed for drag racing, I feel great about driving a "Scat Pack Shaker" right now!

Just a heads-up... I don't believe the 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker is available with cloth seats. Double-check the options PDF (available somewhere around here... maybe on the 2015 Challenger Information thread?) so you don't accidentally get into a situation where you're surprised and disappointed.

I want a Hellcat, and will definitely get one (I think ..lol).....but the Scat pack with the shaker is better looking than the Hellcat to my eye.


The Scat pack just screams muscle car.............it's badass!!

Yeah, I saw that before but im hoping I don't have to get the leather with the Shaker package. If so, then ill just get it without the Shaker option. Im still hoping that they change it up when the option actually comes out.

A big advantage of the Scat Pack is you can actually use WOT for a few seconds at a time while driving on the street with street tires. Curious if that is part of why you don't need the big HP to make you happy anymore?

That was a big part of it. The gt500 I had was making around the 800 mark at the crank and it was useless on the street even with drag radials. Another part is I just don't live that close to a track anymore.

Yes, that makes sense. One of the drawbacks I see to a Hellcat is you won't be able to bang an occasional shift with the manual transmission on the street, it will never hook. To me, that takes quite a bit of the fun away from having a manual transmission, so much so that I've ordered the A8. For those of us who enjoy a manual transmission, the question is will a M6 392 be more fun on the street than an A8 Hellcat?

I'm thinking of exactly the same setup, b5 with shaker. Great combo. Best stripes too I think!

Did you see b5 is out today?? Now just need to wait for an indefinite amount of time for the shaker to become available :(

I was curious why you got rid of your mustang? I own a 14 GT500 and love it,but I dont drive it much and its just a play toy.
I got a bum knee and shifting started to become an issue. Putting an auto in a 12 gt500 is pretty much impossible. There are a couple but tuning was a big issue and they don't work perfect. VMP is still trying a 6 speed auto in their 13 gt500.
