Unless your car's going to be a show-queen, check your local laws on phantom grilles. Most states don't allow anything to cover your headlights/turn signals. Anecdotal evidence suggest that these grilles (like window tint) are po-po magnets and just give them an excuse to pull you over and nick you for other stuff along with the grille. Even if you wanted to get ingenious and make the part over the headlights/turn signals removable at night, having the turn signal covered with the grill bars is still illegal (day or night).
Or just put it in and take your chances. Most of the installation videos I've seen show them being installed over your stock grille. Bolt/clip on so you could remove it and return the stock look if you wanted.
