I was going to post something about your first original comment but figured you probably didn't mean it the way it was written.

Thanks for the compliments on my wheels. They have them in Chrome, Grey and Black.... the grey would look good on your car as well.

The nice thing about how they designed this car is the sky is the limit as far as what can be done.
You think the push start is cool? LOL it is a useless toy, just one more thing that adds weight, cost money and will break, and it is completely useless. Put down the Iphone and drive.

There was a good article a while back on why German cars now suck, basically all the nick nacks cost money, don't add to the feel and drive of the car and um the Japanese just do it better for cheaper. People buy a German / Euro car for the look and drive feel, the design of the interior, the euro prestiege, try to add all the bells and whistle does not turn a BMW into more of the "perfect driving machine" it turns it into an American living room and guess what, stuff breaks and adds weight and cost. Ain't fun when your Volvo R is broke with $1700 GPS screen stuck out of the dash and beeping. Come the 11 has much to offer, but push button start, oh well each to his own.
Push button start is great, check it out, paired with the keyless entry - you can have keys in your jacket or pants, walk up to the locked and alarmed car, it automatically unlocks and disarms. Then you sit down, hit the start button, and go. Slick. I've never had it before but now that I do it's an option I would pay to have. I've always wondered why cars had a twisty ignition, compared to motorcycles.

There are some lame things about all the models... it's all perspective.
Congrats on the ride.have fun with it

Yep all great till i bust, but it only cost mone,y time, added weight and complication to what is a very simple procedure. Like I said put down the Iphone and drive, saves lives. It is all perspective..

What does a cell phone have anything to do with push-button start?

I bet the keyless entry adds less than 1 lb of weight to the car, and only a few hundred lines of code in the software. Yes, it is more complicated inside, but externally it makes the driver's life much simpler.

Leaving the key in your pocket means no chance of scratching the door or the dash finding the keyholes which you risk *every time you want to drive*. Then there's also the familiar pain of forgetting to take your key out of your pocket before you sat down--so now you have to squirm to get it out.

Push-button start? Sign me up!

I would bet you nor I have any clue what it adds, how about add a transmitter and reciever all built into the ECU of the car and if it ever lets out the magic smoke it will require a brand spanking new ECU, a tow, and a reprogram all or which would take 2 weeks and $2000 later you can have your car back. Let me guess you forgot that the magic information had to get from one place to another, that alone tells me the battery in the key can't last anywhere close to what a one way remote would last. The cost of replacing a magic key.. not cheap. So please don't bet if you really don't know.

You feel the Keyless push button is the most important, making other models of Challenger "lame", I feel a FAR FAR FAR better suspension setup is the most important change. Amen. Let it be.
HAHA i see that it wasnt so bright on my part to state the lame thing. I think all challengers are sexy as hell! Did you get the remote start from factory so it goes on original remote?
Yes and no. I took it in to Allen Samuels Dodge in Katy and had the Mopar installed but it comes with two new remotes that they program. They are great to have work on the Challengers and have several local club members working there so they treat these cars like their own. Fantastic place, so much I drove over a hour to get there. I really like the benefits of remote start as we had an ice storm two weeks after it was installed and without starting first would not have been able to get in with the way the windows work when opening the door. The reason I got it is for the Texas summers so the best is yet to come. Blazing hot outside but nice and cool when we get in.
grats cody and enjoy the new ride

The battery in my keyfob for my Nitro has lasted 4 years already. I think it's a $2 cr2025 or something. Not a big deal.

If the ECU burns out, well it burns out--but if it does so it's highly unlikely to be the fault of the keyless entry portion of it. I agree, it would suck to have to replace the ECU, but I think the keyless entry has a negligable impact on the ECU's durability...

Keyfobs are already expensive--try $100 bucks each. This has been true across nearly all models and all makes for some years now, and I don't see the industry trending any other direction. So, again, I doubt the keyless entry functionality is going to really affect the cost of the keyfobs which are already high.

I really can bet you that the transmitter and receiver most likely are integrated into a single ICU, on a corner of the ECU's breadboard, and the antenna is a tiny wire, or possibly sharing the radio antenna which was already there. We're not talking pounds here but ounces at most. The bigger weight might be in the redesign of the door handles.

I really think it adds a negligable amount of reliability risk while adding a huge amount of convenience factor. And for those that don't like it, you can still insert key and twist if you really want to, so where's the harm?

really guys your gonna get butt hurt over something so stupid, this is almost the the whole V8 vs V6 thing. I mean really...
Stop acting like little girls some of you are worse than some of the Honda Guys...
You need to remember YOU pay for YOUR CAR... who gives two shits about what the next guy thinks really...
And yeah he had said "lame" Whoop-dee-****ing-doo... get over it.
If you know anything... anything at all your still driving a challenger in of which is not lame by anymeans, so stop getting butt hurt over what this dude said. Even then he used it in the wrong context anyway. and he even admitted that it was not really what he meant.

C'mon guys.

What a classy post. There is such thing as etiquette, and it's important. The OP has apologized. He didn't seem to have malice in his post. Your post, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired.

The pics are just with the halos lit, no headlights or foglights are on.

I had AAC install them in the headlight/fog light assemblies. I had to drop the bumper to remove and install the headlight assemblies. Takes a little time but not hard.

CCFL are cold cathode fluorescent light. They are curved fluorescent tubes. They can break but give a solid light.

SMD are surface mounted LED lights. They can be very bright, they last a long time, if one burns out you're out of luck, one LED can't be replaced. They also give a dotted light up close and in daylight.

Both styles look good. So pick the one that will work for you.
