Etiquette was thrown out on that post, simply to make the point.
I didn't want to see another thread going to lame and whats not. Too many threads like that even before I joined here. And I know OP didn't have any malice, but the point was some of the post that where made here took it to the extreme which was not necessary or warranted.

Short form didnt want to see 08-10 vs. 11 and which one is better thread and hugfest. Ok now thats done back on topic..

OP: Nice color, you will be waiting on aftermarket parts for your car unless it some cosmetic. Ie: lights (which it seems you've found out already) various interior parts. Im in the same boat your in... they had changed up quite a bit of things in the 11 as far as electronic and mechanical things. You will find the key tricks dont work for the 11 either ( for SE model, since I dont know about RT or SRT8)

Congrats on your 2011. I love mine too. I have submitted product requests to k&N, Airaid, Goldplug, etc. Guess we'll just have to wait.

So far I've added factory fog lights, Mopar shifter T-handle, Locking gas cap. I have Mopar exhaust tips, SRT functional hood scoops, and door sills on order.

Meh, he's right. The things they changed for 2011 were changed for a reason. Since the production version of the challenger was unveiled, the number one complaint I've seen was the steering wheel. They changed it. They added dual exhaust standard (which from all the posts on this forum about adding dual exhaust, does indeed make the car less lame). And they also made other popular mods standard, such as the chrome gas door, and they dropped the lame 17" wheels, which were basically a nudge for people to up to the G package.

I'd be happy with a 2010, but the 2011 has more features and improvements, thus reducing lameness. That's just the way the industry goes, things improve. You have to just be happy with what you have.

Anyhow, I cant wait till they come out with an intake because the stock one looks like it restricts some air flow. Atm im lookin for a nice car cover... have you guys seen the 59 dollar one on ebay? Think its any good?

Don't see any engine in there? Do you? Heck your first post did not even mention what was lame, as ALL older models were "lame". So that's the "deal".

He never said the older models were lame. Just that there were lame things about them. Same can be said for any car. The 2011 has lame things about it. It has a B pillar. Lame. Trunks are popping open without keys. Lame. It weighs too much. Lame.

I took it as he preferred the changes to the 2011. Which is exactly what he meant based on his edit and his apologies. If he meant to offend anyone he would have left his original post intact, and responded with something like "You're cars are lame, the changes to the 2011 make it an infinitely better car than your lame challengers with their lame steering wheels and their lame engines, and their lame keys." instead of "HAHA i see that it wasnt so bright on my part to state the lame thing. I think all challengers are sexy as hell!"

My rims and tires are from Tire rack, complete delivered to my door and ready to put on the car $1700. They are the aftermarket SRT rims.

I never noticed that my steering wheel is too big? Looks fine to me!

And a question..what does the dual exhaust look like on the 11's? True duals? What do the mufflers look like?

The 2011 SEs really offer some very nice features that were lacking in the older SEs. I'm spending some bucks on my '09 just to get some of the things that are included in the newer models. I'm hoping that there will be a 2011 SE with the Super Sport Group at the NY Auto Show so I can check it out...
