Recently both my key FOBS have intermittently started to fail to connect with the car to autostart or remote unlock. I replaced the batteries in both and the problem still exists. They both still start the car fine from inside the car and neither gives a key FOB missing error when in the car. Once I've driven for a little while, they will sometimes work fine right afterwards for a short period. I haven't quantified how long it takes to lose synch, which is what I'm assuming is happening. If that's the issue, does anyone maybe know if there is a procedure to resynch the keys that does not involve a dealership trip?

Hey cajunjon,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this! If you decide to visit your dealership for further diagnosis, I'd be happy to offer assistance. Please send us a private message with your VIN.

Long story short: Don't ever trust batteries from IKEA. They are cheap for a reason. My wife's Jeep had started having the same problem and I put Duracells in hers and the problem went away. So I put Duracells in mine also and they are working fine.
