Okay so I am wanting to put a kooks long tube header system on my car but am not sure exactly what system I need. If anyone can send me a link to the system I need for my car it would be greatly appreciated. 2017 challenger rt 5.7 manual. And will long tubes require me to get aftermarket cats? If so what is suggested to use so it is still legal? I do not live in California.

I’m kinda new here and don’t really know how to look someone up if you don’t mind giving me a hand.

Are you planning to install yourself? If so, there are plenty of people here who have installed LT headers (including myself - I did it without a lift). You will also want the car tuned for the headers to take advantage of them and to prevent any codes from popping up.

is your pcm unlocked??

if not first issue the pcm must be unlocked and you will need a tuner and tuning

long tubes will cause the engine to run lean if not tuned and the mil lamp will be on

the correct long tubes for 5.7L or 6.4, 1 7/8 inches x 3 inches

green catted for the 5.7

for the 6.4

as a rule with the right tuning approx 30/40 whps gains>:)

Yes I have an unlocked pcm. I bought the Diablo sport trinity t1000 and an unlocked pcm about 4 months ago. I’m not a professional when it comes to tunning so I will probably have to get someone else to tune. But it really depends on how difficult it is to install the headers myself because I am working out of town and am limited to what tools I have with me. If anyone would like to explain what all is involved in the installation, I would greatly appreciate it. And thank you for the link to the headers!! You guys are awesome.
