Did the uconnect over the air update break the bluetooth connection with android phones?

In both my 16 Challenger and 16 Ram, uconnect no longer displays the song that I'm streaming and it stops playing when the song changes. I have to hit the play button on the screen to get it going again. This happens when I skip a song too.

I am on Android Oreo and I'm using Amazon Music. It could be one of those, but the break definitely occurred after the uconnect update.

Have there been any updates since the over the air that I can manually update to?

Thanks

Justin

How are you skipping songs? I still haven't found the skip button.

Steering wheel controls.

Which button skips? I've tried the ones on the back of the wheel - right side is volume and left side switches stations in my car.

When I'm streaming via bluetooth, it's the left up/down button.

The update seems to have caused some issues where people had to forget their phones, and re-connect them to get the bluetooth working correctly again. The update also added an auto=play feature that can be turned on and off. You may try toi find that, and see if it affects how it works for you.

Thanks. Re-pairing is easy enough to try. I'll check out this autoplay feature. Thank you.

Hi Justin,

Sorry to hear about this! As @damnimcooltom suggested we would recommend deleting the Bluetooth pairing from both your Uconnect system + phone and re-pairing them. If this doesn't help please send us a PM so I can look into this further for you.
