Hey Folks,

I'm having a heckuva time with the launch control feature on my 2013 SRT Challenger. I purchased it used last year with about 3300 miles on it and have not tried the LC feature until about a week ago. I did searches on here and the internet about how to do it as I couldn't find a single piece of documentation from the manufacturer on in in the manuals.

Anyway, I stop the car on reasonably level ground, push the TC button twice and it tells me in the EVIC that it has entered the Launch Mode. I've tried setting different RPM levels but every time I push in the clutch and then depress the throttle the RPMs just spin freely and are not held at any particular level. In other words, I can redline it if I want to. Then when I let out the clutch there's some slipping of the wheels and the EVIC immediately disables the LC. I've tried at all different RPM levels, sometimes as low as 2500 and just can't get the thing to work. I'm thinking maybe the car needs a flash update? It's supposed to hold the engine RPM at the level that's set in the EVIC even if you floor the gas, right?

Yes, it doesn't hold the RPM level like it should.

It sounds like I may have a traction problem as well. I have the original factory tires on there but still am getting a significant amount of wheel slip.

Thanks for the input guys. I finally got it to work. It seems like it was a combo of not depressing the accelerator quickly enough and sometimes not being on flat enough ground.
