Anyone make a heat shield for their starter after installing long tube headers?

I noticed how close they are to it and I kinda dont feel comfortable with them that close to it.

You are probably better off getting a heat wrap like summit sells. I tried to modify a 6.4L heat shield but the 5.7L starter has the battery cable stud sticking way out making it direct battery short risk. I have 2" primaries and the gap between the battery cable and header pipe would make your bottom pucker. Now that the outside temps are around 80F, I plan to install a thermocouple to see how hot things are getting. Some folks say a heat shield for the alternator should be made as well.

I was actually told to try to fabricate a heat shield for my alternator too. I might have to just to be on the safe side.
