They're nice, but what's the point of pay 2-3k more for a paint job, white leather seats, and some badging? Sorry, but I'm happy with my regular SRT8.

Let's say that you'd REALLY like to have a Challenger SRT8. But, you'd prefer to have it painted White or Blue. In the past, you'd be screwed because you couldn't order one that way. The only thing you could do was buy a brand new car, take it to a REPUTABLE paint shop and spend $5k or more to have it painted the way you wanted it; OR you could SETTLE on having it some other color; OR you could not buy an SRT8 and instead buy an R/T because it comes in white or blue. Hmmmmm??? Decisions, decisions...

Now, the IE package is out. So, if you want an SRT8 (the IEs are SRT8s) you can buy one that doesn't need to be repainted (SAVING a few thousand dollars) in the color YOU want without having to get an R/T (IEs come in white or blue).

Ughhh??? What was the question, again??

its $1995 extra and it includes $500 in mopar bucks, so in reality its $1,495

originally it was physically unique from every angle until they took away the side view (the rims)...now it still may be unique from the front, back and inside

$1995 for a special edition is about a 4% upcharge...not a bad price for something unique and limited

I knew the actual price. I just meant with the dealer markups you'd be up there. I'm surprised there's not a huge demand over MSRP like they were for the '08s.

I think that'll happen once cars start showing up at the dealerships. If you read many of the "I ordered an IE" replies, you'll see that a lot of people didn't lock in a firm price with the dealership that ordered their cars for them. I hope that no one on this forum get screwed (fingers crossed), but I can see that many dealers may have "wiggle" room to get the prices they may want for their car(s).

P.S. I went to a local dealership last Saturday and got the "limited-allocation" speech about the DWB IE they're due to receive. Then I told them about BF, and now they're researching his dealership to see what's up.

I will wait till the end of this year to get a 392. Maybe it will not be a IE, but I bet it will be well under MSRP when the 2012 models are announced. Never pay MSRP:pimp:

Then when you throw in the fact that the base SRT8 went up $1000 compared to what those of us paid for a base on the IE's you get one for $495 more based on MSRP. Wait till you go to sell a non-IE vrs an IE!:browsmiley:

What is this markup thing you speak of? I paid way less than window sticker before my employee discount and military discount. :)

If you would like to order an SRT8 at a discounted price shoot me a PM and I'll hook you up.:bigthumb:

I was allocated 5 I.E.'s...presold two, and sold another to a forum member who was jerked around by his local dealer. they should take delivery late next week...I have two left, both auto's, loaded, 49810 msrp, one blue, one white...I offer special pricing to forum members...please pm me if you are interested. both cars are built and at vendor for striping...I also have a loaded GWE six speed that has been picked up for production that is unsold. For the registry thread, I'll post each vin, equipment and badge # for all five, and if given permision, the forum owner as they arrive

I love mine!! not for sale, less than 10,000 miles on the odometer. bought her used and damaged in 2014. Just finished repairs and now she's registered and licensed for the street!! #26 of 1100. could have bought a non-I.E, but since I'm retired and had a lot of spare time to work on her. I opted to buy the damaged I. E. I didn't want her going to the crusher!!There's a lot of these for sale now in Canada, hard to find one on sale in the U.S.
