I've driven old (1970's) Mopars for many years, and there's a few modifications I will have to make when I get a new Challenger. I'm looking for a '10 SE.

1. First, All this "Apply brake to shift from Park" BS.... NOT ON MY CAR!!! I want to disable those stupid interlock things permanently. I don't need them and will not tolerate them.

I saw another post on the LX forums that dealt with this, but it was for replacing a broken part in the system.

2. I want to run power to the windows and radio - so I can make the windows and radio work without having the key in.

Anyone know any tricks for either one of these things? I imagine the window / radio thing can be fixed with a jumper wire in the fuse box or something.

Surely someone else here finds the "press brake to shift from park" thing very annoying. I'm not an 80 year old woman, I know how to drive, and VERY well, in fact.

I may leave the ignition interlock alone, as even older Mopars had it, but that brake pedal thing has got to go.

.....personally? ....no. I can't think of a situation/reason why it would be bothersome since it was always second nature for me to depress the brake pedal when shifting into gear on an automatic anyhow. As for the parking brake, yes. I would rather have a hand or auto release on a foot activated (p) brake.
