It's really a 6.4... a freak engine install mistake.. ;)

Frankenstein is something built from a bunch of different parts.
The term you mean is factory freak.
It is a real thing, not 70 hp thing, but has been known to happen.
I just have an issue with the nomenclature.

Yep - corrected that on reply #82.

Still have to take into account Gen III Eagle motors were just coming out in late 2008 early 2009 production runs. Who knows why some 1st run 5.7 motors have more power Yet this phenomenon only applies to few cars either by engine manufacturing tolerances or PCM software tweaks. Some have more hp and Dodge was trying many things to get new R/T Challenger's off dealer lots. I test drove several 2009 R/Ts and the one bought (born-on-date: Tuesday, 11 Nov 2008) had more power hands-down.
