Hi

Is there a difference between a Mopar Cai for the 5.7 and 6.1?
A friend of mine has one for the 5.7 and he no longer uses it. I was thinking of using it on my SRT.

Thanks
Jack

If you are getting the new 2011 392, I believe neither of them would fit. We have to wait for the new parts to come out for the 392.

There is a difference between the 5.7 and 6.1 and they're not interchangeable. The 392 will be different still and neither will likely fit it either.

Like Speedy said, the 5.7 intake will not fit a 6.1.

I need to take pics and get my Mopar 6.1 CAI into the for sale section.

The CAI for a 6.1 has a 4" metal intake tube at the 3.5" throttle body (with a 90 degree rubber coupler). The CAI for a 5.7L has a longer 3.5" metal intake tube and a straight rubber coupler. In addition, the crankcase vent hose of a 6.1 CAI will interfere with the 5.7's engine cover.

Mine is in the for sale section. Thanks for the inspiration.
