Thanks for posting this over here:thumbsup:
That weekend is my boy's 10th birthday. Dam the luck, maybe Mom will let me bring him along?
This looks to be a very good event and would encourage all to attend if possible.
If nothing else you are in VEGAS:bigthumb:

You won't break any records because your at 3000' elevation but the track is AWESOME! My car was so consistent because my tires NEVER slipped the whole time I was racing there.

You are also walking distance from the track to the Carol Shelby factory/museum

Cars that were there last year were Mr. Norm's gutted wheelie-bar drag-only Challenger, Speedfactory 9-second Charger, Drag Pak Challenger, a few twin turbo Challys and Chargers and a bunch of other cool stuff.

Plus you can stay in Vegas and enjoy that :guiness:each night after racing/showing your car.

Yea looks like it will be great. I go to Vegas every year and play poker and hang out anyway so..
My sons bithday is that weekend and I can't miss that. I'm going for the angle that it will be a good father son experince and bring him along. I just won't be doing any Casino adult type stuff then but that's OK with me. There will be more than enough to keep us occupied at the track I'm sure.
Just going to be a tuff sell with the ladies.

Heck 3000' will be 2000' less than I'm used to lol. My closest track is 4800' and I live over 5500' and I'm S/C ed so that makes it a little better also.

This is one event you MUST make! I've gone to MATS since it began (2003), and it truly is the "wildest Mopar Party in the West!" They really embrace the "New Hemi" class of cars, and what could be better than an all-Mopar event in Las Vegas! The nightly rock concerts at the Cannery Hotel & Casino are worth the price of admission alone. There's also a huge drag racing program, car show, autocross, swap meet, manufacturer's midway, etc.

If there's any way you can get to Vegas this weekend for MATS, do it. You won't be disappointed! Check it out at Mopars At the Strip.
