This is my 3rd new Challenger . Had a 71 340 R/T , 09 R/T and now my 2011 SRT 8 . It just looked naked not having emblems on the hood . And no one looked down at a light to see the 392 emblem . First day after moving them . I can read peoples lips saying 392 Hemi . And looking the car over . Hope my picture post. It take time to get the old ones off . And to get the sticky stuff off the fender . I used a fishing line tied to a short paint roller stick ( made a loop ) to get behind the emblems and sort of see sawed the line as I pulled on it . After heated them with a hair dryer . And made a blister on my thumb rolling the bonding stuff off the paint on the fender using Goo Gone a little at a time and washing inbetween times with soap and water and rinsing the stuff off to not leave it on the paint very long . Then waxed that area as around the new emblems on the hood . The emblems set is around $30.00 a set . I have ordered the Script Challenger emblem to put on the fender . So then I can say Challenger to those that say new Mustand and so on . I used painters tape to put a straight edge from the top crease to alingment of the emblems and 10 1/4 inch length to center the best I could and put the space between 392 and hemi with each end on the mark . The Emblems come in on piece foam to postion them as from the factory . I used a razor blade to remove the 392 part from the Hemi below . That helped in spacing the numbers . I put it all maybe a little high But with the size of the numbers . Thought the higher up was more flat for the big numbers to stick good and believe me they stick as soon as they touch . Then pressed down with a cloth . I let it set overnight in the garage before washing the car and then waxing both area's . Hope this and the next post of pictures help in deciding .

That looks awesome! I miss the "6.1 L Hemi" that was there on my '09. I wish I could find just a "6.4 L" to put there on the hood of my '11. The "392" looks good on the fender as well, but some folks don't understand what that means. I've seen a few script challenger emblems on the fender and that too looks awesome.

love it. I got rid of the 392 HEMI on the fender and only put 392 on the hood. I think if I could find HEMI in red letters I would of done it.

392 emblem moved to the hood

Here is a picture if it will post. I added the Script Challenger emblem to the fender where 392 Hemi had been . Alot more people know what the car is now . Not a single new Mustang or Camaro at the drag strip the other night . Then everyone wanted to know how much HP it has after my first pass.

Looks great and should have come from the factory that way IMO.

I wish I could get a "345" emblem in that exact font, and I'd do the same with my R/T. I know custom 345HEMI badges that mimic the '70-'71 426HEMI badges are available, and while they do look good, I prefer the new font for new-gen Challengers.

They did ask us I guess

Looks great. Should've come that way from the factory; I don't get why they put them on the side fender.
But they sure did a heck of a job on the rest of the car. I drove my new SRT 8 to a super Mopar show in Sommerset Ky. yesterday . Some interstate and lot of back road's I hadn't been on in many years. Alot of mostly sweeping curves and some tight . This new SRT8 gave me the feel more of a Miata GT I had owned a few years back . And even with a automatic . I didn't have to brake that much . It just handles much better . Or much better than the R/T 6 speed I traded on it . And everyone of alot of people looking at the car loved the move to the hood also. As the rest of the car.

Looks great! Have you placed the script Challenger on the fenders yet? Would love to see the finished product.

I actually took my IE into a bodyshop and was going to let them remove the 392HEMI from the fender and they started telling me that the paint would probably be damaged, and that the HEMI badge might break into. I finally told them to forget it. Just left it like it is for now because, honestly, I really am not that handy and don't want to do it myself.

Some time different is not for everyone

Looks great. Should've come that way from the factory; I don't get why they put them on the side fender.
Guess I'm so set in how I remember things . Old Dog I guess . I haven't got the Challenger Script yet . Maybe today or tomorrow . But not sure now if will put on now . But will see how it look's and go from there . Taking the old off is not that hard . Just take's alot of time as I wrote how I did it . And the longer it is on the paint now . The harder it is to get them off . But these new emblems really stick the factory puts on . I added a third picture to the earlier post showing the Challenger Script on the front fender . Check it out .
