2010 R/T Challenger 57 HEMI W/CAI,FLOW EHAUST,DIABLO TUNE,180 STAT,41k miles

Cant figure out whats leaking thru front spoiler/lower grille area...Looks to be gold in color.
Engine/Engine bay area, belly pan is totally dry...Was thinking maybe water pump but pump area is dry...Brake lines and master cylinder dry..Steering hoses and fluid reservoir ok...All fluid and coolant levels are normal...Mechanic checked it out he doesn't see anything that could leak in that area...Engine temp is normal, doesnt overheat...Evic says system is ok and not getting any trouble codes...Car is driven almost daily but leak appears every few days or so...Seems to appear after car is parked(engine off) overnite..Would like any info from anyone experiencing this issue..

Sounds like power steering fluid. Maybe the "Tri-cooler" radiator or one of the attaching hoses has a leak. If they changed to the separate PS cooler or did the TSB to add one, could be same type leak or remaining fluid leaking from the old cooler.

Is this car in a garage? If not, maybe some dog or cat is using your car as a bathroom at night. If you have not done so yet, I would get a good flashlight and look from the top down around the front bumper cover and side marker areas for evidence of critters. I once had a rabbit take up residence there in a prior Challenger. Maybe a small cat likes hanging out there.

I have concluded that it is your "Jose Cuervo Gold" tequila reservoir. No, wait, that's my car that has one.

Can you post a picture of the mystery liquid?
MJB (an okie) and I are serious about it being urine, thought that before finishing the OP. If there's a gold color fluid, I don't know what it would be. Growing up in rural Texas has exposed me to some situations where different animals, not just cats, have made engine bays a temporary home or safe hiding. I've seen a cat and a squirrel chopped up by cooling fans (belt driven), at different times of course. Nothing leaking, all fluid levels normal, no apparent "golden" liquid that you can find? It adds up to me.

I have been going through the mystery coolant leak in my 2010 that also seems to do so overnight. I read somewhere else that a guy found the coolant pipe by the bell housing was leaking. The dealer says they pressure tested and couldn't find anything. I think I may just drop the hint to check that pipe. I know they will hate it coming from a girl but hey, gotta try! LOL

Is it leaking in the same spot and if so did the dealer notice any moisture anywhere? Keep us posted on what the dealer finds. Nothing wrong with asking them to check it.

You sure? Because I was thinking the same thing he was. Any you said that it's gold. May not be stinky cat pee, could be squirrel, dog, homeless guy, et cetera.
My 2007 Grand Cherokee had the same golden color fluid leak on the driver's side rear wheel...... I came out one morning and it was leaking right in front of me....., it was my neighbor's black Lab tapping a kidney. True story. :laugh2:

Got another idea from a friend on the leak. It seems they worked on a Charger with a hemi and the hoses hoses were expanding and shrinking with the engine heat and then cooling down. They put some BG coolant additive in it and no more problems. Mine has been only leaking when I drive it and then park in the garage so maybe there is something to this. Anybody has a comment on this one?
