Lots of pretty fascinating info here....

What's the situation with the 2015/2016 cars? Is the IAT sensor in those of an improved type or one which should be swapped out?
the long sensor has been in use since the '11 models came out (V8) not sure what the 3.6 V6 models use, but it may be the same.

There is a lot of good information but as it pertains to the old and new IAT's I didn't see where you can adapt the new to the old (pre 11's vs post 11's). I have an 09 SRT and bought a 2012 IAT but the connection to the wiring harness is different.

The earlier (pre '11) 5.7s had the gray connector, so the newer IAT sensor was plug & play.

there's was a member on the forum that was making adapter harnesses for the 6.1 owners that could take the black IAT connector to be able to accept the newer "long" IAT for those applications.

I know this is a really old thread but if the Original Poster sees this I'd like to change over my 09 IAT to the newer but need the adapter if you're still selling them. Thank you!
