I keep my car parkied in my garage on a daily basis. The other day i noticed that when the garage door is open it is extremely extremely close to the 8ft flourescent light fixture that is right above my car, but it wasn't touching. I figured all was good. I was putzing in the garage today and was shutting the garage doo rat the end of the evening. As the door was lowering i realized i left something outside, so i hit the button again and the garage door jerked back up real hard when it changed direction. It slammed into the light fixture and knocked the two 8 ft flourescent light bulbs right out of the socket. The tips ended up resting on the edge of the garage door with my car right beneath it!!! i almost had a heart attack. I ran into the house calling frantically for my wifre to come down to the garage. She thought i ran over my son the way i was yelling. When she came down and saw what was wrong she just started laughing at me. I had to stand next to the car holding the bulbs in place while she pulled the car out of the garage very slowly without running over my toes. I have now removed that light fixture and am in the process of putting in high hats so i dont have to worry about this again. I cant even imagine what a mess i would have had on my hands had those bulbs fallen onto my car. THAT WAS A CLOSE ONE!!!!!
