Fake news and bad photoshop????
Dodge produces the 2018 T/A in only three High Impact colors (Yellow Jacket, Go Mango and Tor-Red). I asked about B5 Blue and the Dealer said that color and Plum Crazy are special order only.

They’d rather give you a choice of four (or is that fifty) shades of gray and other low impact, bland colors. Which makes it pointless to have those black graphics on the car, that become camouflaged.

Since the two vintage 1970/1971 colors in this thread contrast so well with the vintage 1970 black graphics, why offer them?? That is just insane.. Who would want them when you can have dark murky 2018 colors instead.

I've seen the t/a in destroyer grey and in green go also,am i seeing things?
Greys or grays are not high impact. At least one of those grays looks like gray primer. Not something I'd want on a car that I have to pay over $40K for. Green Go was available in 2017. Dodge has removed it from their website for the 2018 models. I guess to make room for more grays..

My point with this thread is to say, "Hey Dodge, you're offering this vintage throwback T/A, give us more than 3 vintage high impact colors to put on it for 2018!" It is Spring, I chose some Easter Egg colors that were offered back in the day. Curious Yellow / Citron Yella was only offered in 1971. The Curious name, used by Plymouth, came from a 60s Swedish soft porn film "I am Curious (Yellow)". I think it looks good on the T/A, but your mileage may vary.

As much as the Panther Pink is a head turner.... the 2018 production run ends May 17th ( last order date for 2018 challengers ), since that's a month away, and there is nothing on their website, i doubt they would create that for just one month ( the Green Go was produced for just 6 months on the T/A ).

And as best we can tell from other posts, there will not be a T/A returning for the 2019 model year.

Is F8 high impact? I just saw a T/A 392. Nice guy, we chatted for a bit. Funny thing is, he said they bumped the HP for the T/A up to 520 HP. How? The headlight intake. Yeah right. He also said his is an SRT, not a Scat Pack version. What? T/A 392 doesn't have the SRT suspension.

There is no HP bump lol
Dodge Challenger T/A 392

The new Challenger T/A 392 ups-the-ante with its best-in-class 485 horsepower and 475 lb.-ft. of torque, delivering up to 113 more horsepower and a 65-lb.-ft. leap in torque compared with the 5.7-liter Challenger T/A models, representing more than a 30 percent jump in horsepower and 18 percent jump in torque. The coupe's best-in-class power enables it to turn mid 4-second 0-60 mph times and low 12-second quarter mile times.

Adding to the standard equipment found on the Dodge Challenger T/A Plus, the new 2017 Challenger T/A 392 includes a 6.4-liter (392 cu in) HEMI V-8 engine with 485 horsepower, plus signature "T/A Air Catcher" headlamps and directed cold-air NACA duct hood systems connected to the more powerful mill; ultra-high performance Brembo six-piston front and four-piston rear brakes with vented rotors, unique front suspension geometry, all-new 20 x 9.5-inch forged aluminum wheels finished in Low Gloss Black, P275/40ZR20 Pirelli three-season performance tires, "392" fender decals, 180-mph primary speedometer, electronically controlled active performance exhaust system and 220-amp alternator.

The new 2017 Dodge Challenger T/A 392 model has a starting U.S. MSRP of $43,995 (excluding gas-guzzler tax).

Lol, he knows that man, he was just pointing out how ridiculous some folks are believing certain claims that "sometimes" come from a dealer.

You are killing me with that news!! I've only got till May 17th to special order a T/A?? No T/A for 2019?? If they already plan to discontinue the T/A, that must mean its sales have been meager, for the 2017-2018 models... I am interested in one because I used to own a 1970 T/A 4-Speed Pistol Grip, in Hemi Orange, 31 years ago.. I could get one in Tor-Red to match my old Hemi Orange car, but I used to have a GB5 Blue 1971 Challenger. It would be nice to have my old B5 blue color back, but that one requires a special order.. And I can't get the new T/A with a blue interior.

I'm also fretting over 5.7 or 6.4, and 6-Speed Manual or the 8-Speed Auto..

Where is your info coming from that they are lowering the axe on the T/A, and that May 17th is the deadline to order a 2018? That sounds like something a Dealer would say to try to get you to hurry up and buy!

On April 8th, weekend before last, I could still build and price a 2017 T/A, in addition to the 2018 on the Dodge website. This past weekend I noticed the 2017 models were gone.. If you could still build and price a 2017 a little over a week ago, why are they stopping production of 2018 models so much sooner than the 2017??

I tried to respond to the post that claimed Dodge is axing the T/A and ceasing production of 2018 models on May 17th.. I now see his post was deleted from this thread. Is that claim true or fake news??

I started this thread as fun fake news, that hopefully Dodge will make real. I do hope they don't kill off the T/A model so damn soon.. That would suck..

For your info, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles LLC, the T/A model is that one that is getting me to go into a dealership and buy a Dodge!! And you want to get rid of it..

On the 2019 line-up RS, does not include a T/A model and order banks open up June 8th. Unless FCA changes their mind on the 11th hour it's prolly not happening.

"ResumeSpeed" posted the following from in the Hellcat Forum... Pretty reliable source, but all bets are off till the order window opens for the 19's
