My driver's door's W-strip had a tear in it that was letting in an awful lot of wind noise, so I replaced it.

This piece;

But! The new one (which was still sealed in its MOPAR bag, made in 2016) has some wrinkles in it, I guess from being in the bag so long. It seals great and my wind noise is gone, but the lip that extends over the roof pad has bacon curls/wrinkles in it and just looks trashy. Any tips and tricks to get it to get it to smooth out?

Lay it in the sun for as long as you can. A hair dryer could help, a heat gun would, but you have to be very careful, keep the gun moving. We have this issue with new refrigerator gaskets all the time, they come all scrunched up in the bottom of a box.
