Alright so i went to the track today for the street legal drags in Fontana at AAA speedway hoping to get into the 12's. Temps were pretty low around 60 degrees and cloudy, i got in a total of 3 runs in the 6 hours i was there. 1st run i dropped the air pressure in my tires to 25psi and did a very short burnout with my Invos, managed a pretty poor 2.295 60' 13.320 @ 108.02. i spun through 1st. On the 2nd run i aired them down to about 22psi and did about a 3 second burnout. Got a 2.148 60' 13.088 @ 108.52 which was my best run. 3rd and final run i kept everything the same except i tried launching at a low rpm and bogged a little bit, got a 2.166 60' 13.106 @ 110.90. i know my car is capable of 12's i just need a bit more seat time. Next street legal drags are 1/8 and hopefully i'll have some drag radials by then.
We need to get some more Challengers out there. there was only 1 other out there. it was an SRT8 with a few SP goodies on it, he is car #9958 on the slips. he was a very nice guy.

3 runs in 6 hours... man that's rough. Tires and many, many more passes will get you into the low 12s. Good stuff -- keep at it!

Forget getting any good traction with the Invos. I have them on mine and have to avoid boost completely in 1st gear. My best 60' is a 2.039 and my best time is a 12.8 at 117.6.

HemiSam hit the track today with the same setup I have and used Nitto 555R DRs. He's got 1400HP axles installed so keep that in mind before going to DRs.

He ran 11.8 at 119 today.

Tires make a huge difference it seems.

Yeah my wheel and tire combo are very heavy. I plan on using my stock 18s and putting some nt555r or nt05r on the rear.

Nitto doesn't make a DR that will fit the stock 18" wheel, but I believe some guys are running the BFG DR on stock 18x7/5" rims but the fitment is probably iffy.

What did you use TF?

I've got 20s, so I've gotta figure out if I need to stay with that rim size or go down to an 18. Seems the DRs are mostly in 17 and 18" rims.

I have a set of Mickey Thompson ET Streets on Mustang rims. I swap 'em at the track. They're only 26" tall which helps my gear (and they're light).

This is where I got the wheels. They bolt up nice and are 9" wide. I use dedicated lug nuts for these wheels.

Those bolt up same bolt pattern no spacers or anything?

I remember Plumkrazy put some Mustang wheels on his car at Challengerfest and we liked to never got them off. Mike had to hook up his truck and pull them off with it.

I was thinking about these....you know I'm OCD:

They bolt right up, no spacers. Wheels are 23lbs. The bolt pattern is 5x114.3 instead of our metric 5x115, so this is enough to shy you away from them. I only use them on the track, but once you look at how big .7mm is, these wheels are a steal.

M&H recently came out with a 275/40 18. It is 28.0" diameter.
