hello yall i have a 2010 srt8 i just got and so far ive added a typhoon k&N intake and removed the resonatores and isntalled 2 super 10 flowmasters- im extremely please with results so far and as it stands it sounds great- my question is does this car need a retune now to optomize performance? what tuner is the best value to buy? im extremely computer and gadget savvy but have never messed with anything dealing with automobiles- im 27 and have had 2 cars prior but none this beastly- i really want to optimize the cars potential as it is now and also will be either switching to high flow cats or more likely just removing the cats all together( i removed them on my 95 mustnag gt 5.0 and my 2004 gmc sierra 5.4 or 5.7 idont remember) im also planning to swap headers in a few months but thats not high on my list and probably will be the extent of mods i do as i dont want to butcher it or change too much- any advice would be greatly appreciated i dont mind dropping money on a nice tuner but i am really trying to understand which is best value etc.. also i dont want to void my warranty so im trying to get some advice from some srt8 experts- thx!!

Welcome to the Forum, you will love it here. Lots of great information.

You don't need a retune with those mods, its not enough of a change to make a difference. I wouldn't add headers either, the SRT has a great flowing exhaust as is.

Use the search feature and most all your questions have already been answered.

The Diablo Predator U7135, is hand held device that comes with a couple tunes in it that you can load yourself. You can also take it to a tuner and he can Provide a CMR or custom tune while on the dyno that would give you a noticeable change in performance especially if you have a automatic. There are also some vendors that will provide e-mail tunes but you will still need the Predator.

I said the same thing as you did ( I will stop at this) . Have a end goal and research as much as possible before you pull the trigger on any performance Mods. Purchasing the Predator is a good investment.

thanks a million for the fast and informative reply! i will definitely continue searching to learn as much as possible- good to hear i dont need headers , im thinking after i remover the cats or get the high flows ill just save my money for a few months and get a supercharger, i know its expensive but id rather not go the rout of upgrading everything inbetween ten times only to end up wanting a supercharger in the end- but for now ill go with the tuner and get it on a dyno and tuned propperly with just my setup i have , since i have an automatic im hopefull to get it tuned to be at top performance- i hate to ask a follow up question but is buying the predator myself the best choice or would a tuner with a dyno already have one and just tune it for me themselves- again i may be ignorant so dsregard that question if its completely stupid and in the meantime ill look for a predator tuner to buy- thanks chukarboy!

You will need to purchase a DiabloSport Predator to tune your hemi. Tuners do not stock Predators; either you need to provide one or they will order one for you.

Many tuners do stock Predators, and believe me, they'd prefer you buy it from them if using their tuning services!!
Yep, buy it from the tuner , most shops in our area stock them and sell them as a package that they come up with ( stage 1 or 2). TS is a must have also. The tuner will set the fans for you. You will need the Lower TS if you go FI and its a cheap mod and your engine will run cooler.
