I love Hemi Orange and wish we had it this year, but Dodge would screw me anyway by making it unavailable on the RT Shaker cars.

Back when I was looking to buy, there was no Hemi Orange available on the current model. The guy at the dealership told me they could special order the color. I don't know if that is still the case (or ever was since I decided to get a pre-owned in Hemi Orange!). But I love the color since you rarely see another Challenger with it in my area.

My 14 Header Orange R/T Classic is the 1st Challenger I've owned soI don't have too much knowledge of the colors and the years certain colors were available. I think Header Orange was a 2013-14 color and before that there was a Hemi Orange but I don't know the years that color was available. I'd think there were less Header Orange Challengers in 2013-14 than the other colors available therefore making it a selling point when time to sell. Less Challengers of this color than other Challenger colors.


By no means does it make it a better Challenger because it's Header Orange and fewer of those colored Challengers. Just a selling point.

I think a lot of us look at the rarity of the color as a potential future return on investment, or even a chest beating point several years down the line. For me, I feel like the less orange challengers on the road, the more attention mine gets. For now, it really makes no difference, but for the few of us who hang on to them for 20+ years, it may make a world of difference.

That said, I like the fact that Dodge seems to be purposely limiting certain colors.

What I also like about HO, is the fact it was the color used for the 2006 concept Challenger (love that car) and also that it was only available for Challengers equipped with a Hemi engine.

THey will bring Hemi Orange back I bet.... maybe for 2016 or 17 model year. They CANNOT Not do that color...

I bet there will be.

They don't run every color at once. The demand signal will pick up, and then they will run Orange and some other colors in spring/summer 15. Perhaps a Yellow.
