Hey guys,
I've been thinking about doing a 3-pull dyno on my Challenger. In the past I have gone to SpeedWorks in Lewisville, but they are now HPP Racing.

I called just to get pricing for me and they said it's $85...not bad...I've paid less but that was years ago with my SC Cobra, Collector ED Trans Am, and other rides so the cost doesn't bother me.

I thought though that it might be good to see if there was interest in a "dyno-day" event. Back in 2004 we did this on a Saturday, it was fun, got to meet other guys and gals and we got a discount for the group.

If we have enough interest, I can see if they have an opening either this Saturday (April 16) or next Saturday (April 23) and work with them to get a discount. I imagine they will want a minimum of 10 or 15 to actually reserve the dyno exclusively for us and give a discount.

Address:
HPP Racing
1671 Riverview Dr, Suite 208
Lewisville, TX 75056-9581

Any interest ?

I'm interested. I've been wanting to get a baseline dyno done on my car before I install my supercharger.

Sublime... it seems we are the only ones thus far.... so it doesn't look like enough interest for a full on dyno day event.

I'm going to look into setting up an appointment for April 23rd to reserve time for a 3-pull run. If your available on that day for the same that would be great.

The 23rd is ok for me. Just let me know what time you will be there.

Iv'e got a Magnacharger sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. I'm still gathering all the other little odds & ends I need to get it installed. Should be soon though.

Grrrr... I'm going to have to wait until the 30th.... I just found out I have some folks coming in this weekend and would be a bit of a horses ass if I didn't do the family thing.

I also have a nephew interested in doing a dyno on the 30th. I'll make the appointments for the nephew and I then, if the 30th is good for you then I'll see you there.

I wasn't familiar enough with the locale to realize until now that I am actually just "across the pond" from Lewisville. ;) I'm not really interested in dyno'ing my car, but it might be nice to meet a few of you local Texans! (...and please drop me a line if you have the hook-up for an IT job in the "north of Dallas" area)

I have some interest as well. What price did you guys ever get on dyno pulls?
I am now Predatorized and curious about real yields it brings. I can feel a difference in throttle response and the shifts (with canned tune) are definitely firmer and it chirps 2nd now which it never did before.

I also would like to get back to some of the informal meet and greets/drives like we use to do a while back. In fact just today, I was looking at where all FM 455 ran in N TX to maybe plan a drive this weekend. (Weather permitting as my baby does not get to see wet roads lol)

That road actually leads somewhere?! I literally live right off it, but I've never explore it beyond the 100 ft to get to the I75 entrance. ;)

I called and left them a message to call me back to schedule an appointment on April 30th. Weekdays they do not open until 10am. Voicemail says they are open from 11am - 4pm on Saturdays so I will probably try to get something in the Noon - 2pm area. I believe my nephew is interested in putting his truck on the dyno as well that day but I have to confirm that.

I'll let you know my exact appointment time when I talk to Manny or Wade from HPP.

Looking forward to meeting whoever can come by to either dyno as well or just stopping by to chat.

Yes, driving west on FM 455 use to be something we did as a group. Some nice hairpin turns and not too much traffic yielded some fun 'spirited' driving. It's a favorite with the bike crowd too. We would drive into downtown Celina and eat lunch at an old cafe. There are a couple of good photo op places for the cars too. With the wildflowers in bloom, it is probably pretty scenic right now too. I was looking and it runs all the way to Pilot Point. Was trying to decide where to go but there is also forecasts for rain this weekend so not sure...

My company did have two positions open about a month ago. They have changed that to just one contract-to-hire type position now...but they said it depends upon the candidate qualifications.

I've asked for a copy of the job requirements which I can PM to you to see if it's of interest to you. The job, if it becomes permanent hire does require that you are able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance (so no felony convictions..yada...yada).

We work on everything from maintaining normal house networks to building customer networks, satellite communications, encryption, etc. I've been here since 2002 so a long time for me. Located just off Preston Road and Frankford road.

Let me know as I am literally down the road (121) in The Colony and would definitely like to come out and meet you guys. (Even if I don't do a dyno run)

Wow...that sounds pretty cool! I would definitely be in on that, if there was ever another FM 455 cruise!

I stoppped by HPP on my way home from work today to set up an appointment for my car for the 30th. There were no other appointments set up for that day so I said I would be there when they open at 11:00am. I mentioned that there were other people interested in coming too. They said if 3 show up it would cost ~ $75 per person, maybe even less if more show up.

I've arranged to bring Jenny Wade, delicious actress from the Good Guys tv show (now canceled), to make a celebrity appearance!

Well they never bothered to return my call. Why have a damn answering machine if you do not answer it?

That should knock off 30% for shitty response time! I'll try to be there at 11am.
