This newb to the forums is currently shopping for an RT, after a life of four door sedans, focusing on 2015 - current models under 40k miles. It would greatly aid my decision making process if there are particular features by year that you like or dislike; i.e., if you want active exhaust go for year X, avoid year Y for this. Info from you the real owners and not various publications would really help me out.

Thank you!

Active exhaust wasn't available in 2015 for R/T's. I believe 2017 was the first year it was available.

Scanning thru the TSB's it doesn't seem that 2015 is a good year to purchase? There are numerous 2015s on Carmax and Carvana, seems like a trend?

If Android Auto or Apple Car Play is important, 2017. I was leaning towards a low mile very nice 2016 Charger Scat Pack, and quickly upped that to 2017 or 2018. Then when I made the move to the Dark Side and looked for Challengers, I found my 2018. I think the uConnect in general got more responsive in 2017, others will chime in more I'm sure. Otherwise a lot of the year to year changes are Wheels and Colors.

Apple CarPlay and Active Exhaust became standard in 2017+ correct? Both are must haves in my book!

Yeah the 2015s seem to have quite a few TSBs but that is typical when automakers make drastic changes to a model...over time they figure out the kinks.

TSBs
2015 92
2016 55
2017 37
2018 34
