I thought I found my answer here but can't seem to find the thread or not typing correct wording into the search box. Anyways I have 16 SRT auto and if you are going 50-60 mph can you pull the -- paddle will the trans computer safely shift to the lowest gear so you can give it hell and up shift yourself? And does using the auto stick work the same way? That is one area of this car I haven't fully got my head wrapped around. Thanks to all.

You can do that but depending on speed it will take you to the rev limiter. Safe, yes. Ideal. Oh no my brother.

If you are cruising in that range in 8th you can absolutely go down.... a few. Do one see where the revs are and look to go down further. Experimenting so you know exactly how many you can knock it down and hammer the gas. Sounds like a lot of fun! I would, if it weren't snowing... Point being GO FOR IT!!!!! Let us know.
