So lets try to spill it out here...
Pretty sure once you hit the button to SPORT, MDS is OFF, so....

In NON SPORT MODE:
1. If moving the shifter to the "M" position & using the paddles, will that cut out MDS?
and
2. Will using the paddles in "temporary" mode while in "D" cut out MDS?

Those in the know please clarify...

Yes and yes. Manual mode and paddles all the time turn MDS off. The temp paddle mode while still in D and using the paddles will have the same effect until it decides to kick off paddles and go back into regular D again.
