No problems, so far.

My car is not my DD and spends most of its life in the garage or weekend cruizing. It's rarely driven in rain, but gets washed WAAAY more than the average...
I had both of my handles not work. First trip to the dealer they said it was due to the interference of the window tint. Like a smart ass, I said roll down the windows or put the keys inside the car. MazzMan - 1 dodge - 0. They first ordered a new receiver. Didn't solve the issue. Then they ordered they new handles which fixed the problem.

I just hope they release the flash to fix the O2 sensor problem.

The parts took about a week to come it. FYI.

Dealer supposedly played all day yesterday with my Chall and and is still diagnosing so they will have it again today. Worse fear I have is not if the Chall isn't fixed but if I get her back with scratches, dings or dents.

on a side note: I also hope they use the srt8 wheel alignment specs I gave them (they uses STS to do wheel alignments) since '11s are different then '10s

Dealer said they ordered a new passenger handle to replace the dead unit on my car. Been 3 weeks since it was ordered and still nothing. Guess I will have to bug them today and see what happens. Probably back ordered or not ordered cause they are working on a redesign.

There was a rumor about Dodge advising dealers not to replace them and wait until a fix comes. But nothing was ever shown as proof to this statement.

Dealer ordered a new handle for the passenger side. No problem with the driver side (yeah it dried out) and they ordered some module which I am assuming is the PEM.

Car will have to go back I guess in a week or so.

Driver door went out 2 weeks ago. Passenger door went out last week. I went to the dealership 4 days ago and told them that I heard that Dodge is not replacing handles anymore and that there was a new fix. The dealer said that he would attempt to order the handles and see if Dodge refuses his request. I received a call today that the replacement handles are in and will be installed early next week. According to my dealership... no design change or other fix yet. They said they've replaced numerous Charger handles to date.

At least Dodge has acknowledged problems with the Charger and for now, disable the annoying message in the EVIC (although Challengers do not get this message) and to tell the customer, hang on new handles are on their way! Once could speculate *new handles* means new designed or are they just exact replacements without a new design?

Release Date:
6/24/2011
Product Engineering, Corporate Quality, and the door handle supplier are working aggressively to address this issue
Symptom/Vehicle Issue:
B25AA-01, B25A9-01, Service Keyless System Displayed In EVIC, Or Passive Entry Door Handle Inoperative

Discussion:
There is a reported issue with water intrusion on some Passive Entry Door Handles installed on 2011 LD vehicles. This water intrusion may result in “Service Keyless System’ displayed in the EVIC without any apparent Passive Entry System issues, intermittent operation, or possible inoperability of the Passive Entry System. Product Engineering, Corporate Quality, and the door handle supplier are working aggressively to address this issue. Further field communications will be provided as information becomes available.

Current key points relative to the matter are as follows.
Customers experiencing an inoperative Passive Entry System due to water intrusion into the door handle may still use the vehicle FOBIK to unlock the vehicle. If replacement door handles are not available, turn off the passive entry system via the EVIC, radio, or WiTech (depending on vehicle configuration). Perform RF-Hub service flash RRT 11-060 or Service Bulletin 08-034-11. This flash will eliminate the nuisance displays of the “Service Keyless System” message. Tell the customer that the system has been turned off, and that they will be notified when replacement door handles are available..

That's a great idea for a poll Sitedrifter. The way I see it right now is that 40 owners have replied and 18 of those had "one" or more problems. If all owners are replying that read this thread then, quick math says 45% of the vehicals coming out of the factory will have this problem at least once. If I were the quality rep at Dodge (which I am at my company) I'd have very serious questions for the engineers that put a component into a door panel with what is basically an "Unprotected" connector. (That was the problem with mine). Glenn

I just went and disabled mine. I don't need it and really didn't want it to start with. Assuming Dodge comes up with a real fix I will have mine done but till then no need for them to mess with it.

I have a question. Sorry if it's been asked. I saw on one post that both were replaced they worked when he was 3 feet away. Don't you still need to touch the handle to get them to unlock?

Has anyone had issues with the remote start? At least the ones with the auto. Sometimes it works n othertimes it doesn't. I have had it where I started with the remote, then shut it down with remote and a minute or 2 later tried to start it and it would not work. It honked the horn but would not start.

No problems (yet?). My Challenger hasn't seen rain and probably won't have much exposure to it ever. I will probably get new handles if a recall or tsb is released on them though.
