Is there any difference between these two units, other than maybe accessories that would be supplied with them? They're both supposed to be random orbital operation and appear to be identical based on technical data.:scratchhead:
I'll end up getting pads for it from Adams anyway so any included accesories won't matter.

I believe they are one in the same although their counter weights may be different and/or the accessories they come bundled with.

Thanks Kean:bigthumb: yeah, I'm not too worried about the accesories, but the counter weight thing would mean I have to get the smaller one for Adams pads.

I use a Flex 3401 but I also have a PC 7336 which is essentially a v1 (non "XP") 7424. As long as you can verify that the specs match that of the XP (not the earlier version), you should be golden. The counter weight may or may not pose a vibration issue if different. I switched between various backing plates/pad sizes with my PC with no notable problems.
