Kind of off topic here, but where did the term “Chally” come from? Is this something used back in the 70’s as a nickname for the Challenger, or is it something this forum came up with?

I ask because I’ve never heard that term for the Challenger until I saw it on this site. It just seems so… well… you know… whimpy.

I hear the name “Challenger” and I think of “Muscle Car”, “Power” and “Performance”… I hear “Chally” and I think of a “Perfume”, “Candy” and “French Poodles”.

“Gooey Caramel, Chocolate and Peanuts in the all New Chally Candy Bar.”
“Oh, look at how cute she is. Come here Chally, sit pretty for the nice man.”

Eek! This is like calling Achilles, Ally… It really loses a lot in the translation. How about a new campaign? Put the Anger (enger) back in CHALLENGER!

Sorry, that’s just my opinion… I could be wrong.
