I'm picking up my Challenger Classic this Thursday. Its black with white RT striping. I' can't wait. Anything I should do to it right away and where I should buy the items? Door sills, sequential lights......?
Thanks
Scott

Very cool. Enjoy having the car for just a bit and that will in turn help you decide it there are any changes you want to make.

The only urgent accessory might be the splash guards (mud flaps). The tires on these cars tend to pick up rocks and you might find that your paint gets pitted. I put them on right away because I had read posts where others had wished that they had.

Congrats on the new car.

Watch what others are doing with their cars by reading their signatures. You will see a lot of things in common. I think that the door sills will look nice with the black paint. I should have bought a Classic right from the start after adding $2,000 in mods. But too late now. I still love my Challenger. You will too. I didn't do splash guards and haven't seen that much trouble, but mine is a DD and it will get splashed no matter what. But, being black, they will hardly be noticed on your beast. Don't know what else to tell you as most of my mods were to make it look like an R/T. Have fun. I saw that combo on the lot last year. It lasted less than a week. Don't know if was local or a dealer trade, but it had a new home right away.

Congrats and welcome! I really like the black/white combo, and may even change mine over at some point.

I agree with Redline 3, take some time, drive it, and search through the forum to get ideas, then go from there. As for where to get stuff, there are excellent vendors sponsoring and listed on this site, I would start there!

Another thing that you might consider is a license plate mount that doesn't require holes in the front bumper if the dealer hasn't already installed it. I installed the manually operate show-n-go. 2008-2010 Dodge Challenger Show-N-Go Retractable License Plate Frame

The hood struts and Mopar T-Handle shifter are cool as are the MOPAR sill covers.

They have a nice Challenger club in the Twin Cities area. They do lots of cruises.

I'd say get some hood struts, they don't cost all that much and it makes it a lot easier to play around under the hood. Door sill are definetly cool and would look great on your black car. But I agree with the others, splash guards are probably the number one thing to get.

Post up some decent quality pics.......

One of the first Challengers I laid eyes on was an R/T Classic with white side stripes. I told myself right then that I was gonna have one.

It took about 7 months but I got myself outta debt and saved up a substantial down payment and went shopping. I shopped around for a black R/T but couldnt find one optioned the way I wanted it. I found an HO R/T at a smokin price and optioned the way I wanted and took the plunge. I'm happy as heck with my HO RT but sure have some envy whenever I see a black RT or SRT.

Congrats and welcome.........:bigthumb:

BTW get a catch can and since you have a black car DEFINATELY....get the windows tinted......it totally changes/enhances the look of your Challenger

Congrats on a great colour MN. I got the splash guards right away, and a little later I put the DODGE letters on the hood and Challenger script and R/T on the right of the rear spoiler.

Enjoy your car.:bigthumb:

Yes post some pictures after you get it. I had splash guards on my 09 but opted not to get them on my Toxic at least not yet. They do keep the crud off the side of the car but mine after a year were starting to have a little gap along the fender line that I didn't care for of course when I mentioned it to my brother he said what are you talking about so it wasn't that noticeable. with the black 09 they were hardly seen at all and like I said they do keep the crud off. Enjoy the ride.:bigthumb:

That's the combo I have, black paint with white stripes. Best look on these cars IMO! I had to have my car delivered from another dealership across the state, I knew it would look good, but I was BLOWN AWAY!! Looks so bada*s. Enjoy your car!
