I heard you can enhance the sub sound using polyfill. I had my stock Kicker sub out and was trying to figure out how to open the sealed enclosure.
I got as far as removing the grill to the speaker and all the screws to learn the speaker is glued to the enclosure and there was no other access. At that point I realized I was in over my head and would end up damaging the speaker trying to pry it off the enclosure.

Is there a safe way to open this up or should I forget about it? :scratchhead:

First you should know what polyfill does exactly. It does not "enhance" the sound of the sub. Polyfill can create a "fake airspace", it makes the subwoofer act as if the enclosure is larger. This is usually only really needed for extra small enclosures. If the enclosure Kicker made is specific for the sub, polyfill may hurt or sound.
