I have no interest in trading up for multiple reasons. However, I want more power, and do not want to supercharge.

First choice would be a 426 crate engine, but between the cost and the fact that it is not emission certified, it has me hesitant. I live in an area that only does obd but if I move back to California, I might have trouble.

Option two is a 392 srt crate engine. Very reasonable price, emission certified, etc. It's the practical choice but my nostalgic impulses want a 426.

Thoughts...?

426 is cool, no doubt but the 392 will perform better on less gas and pass emissions.
