I own all Dodges, but I'm sorry, I think the Corvette is a better looking car.
The numbers for the new Z06 are impressive but I don't know if anyone else noticed this or not but they can't pull very well above 100mph and this video pretty much proves that. The Hellcat would put a hurting on the new z06 at anything above 60mph. The Viper and a hellcat may prove to be a very good highway race. It'd be interesting to see that! Thanks for the vid and both cars are sweet but i'm an inbred mopar junky so Viper all the way!
I just showed this video to the guy at work who sits next to me. He's in line to order a new Z06 from a regional Chevy dealership that specializes in Corvettes. (He's bought two from them before; a regular one and a previous model Z06.)
The look on his face was priceless as he watched that Viper (N/A-640 bhp) pull away from that Z06 (S/C-650 bhp). (He and I would always throw jabs at each other about our cars - his 'Z06 and my--now sold--Viper SRT10).
Man! He is truly heartbroken!!! Wait, he just walked out... I think he went to cry! :lol:

...also going to be VERY interesting to see this comparison head-to-head on a road course. The Viper will be more difficult for a moderate-to-less-skilled driver. And, to me, that's fine. The Z06 will have the trans advantage, even for the manuals (with their selectable rev-matching).
NA, the Viper will run all day hard, whatever the temps. Give that Z06 a hot day and I'll bet you get maybe half a session before it starts to de-rate. And the Viper TA 2.0, with added aero, will be even better on the road course.
And there's the ACR, most likely in 2016 IMO. Endgame.

So much for easy break in procedure.At the dealer,there was a Hellcat video where he left doing a long smokey burn out from the dealer parking lot.Seems with the employees encouragement.Will it effect their warranties,or is the break in over rated.
The guy in the Corvette destroying the tires is an idiot!

So considering the Hellcat is faster to 150 than the Viper I'm assuming it will smoke the Z06 in a straight line as well. Interesting.
