Rule of thumb is that when everything is setup perfectly, you gain 2hp per 1cfm. This is far from a perfect scenario, but we should have no problem seeing an additional 25rwhp using these ported Apache heads over our ported 6.1 heads. These heads should easily support 750hp NA.

The only loss was at .200". Increased everywhere else. This was ver 1.0 of the apache Intake/Exhaust port. We put allot of effort in the exhaust port in order to increase the exhaust to intake ratio which isnt very good in stock form.

Stock Exhaust/Intake Ratio: 61.7%
Ported Exhaust/Intake Ratio: 65%

Damn, 382CFM is better than a fully ported 4V 4.6 Cobra cylinder head ([email protected]) with 1 less valves. These are pretty damn impressive. Cannot wait for you guys to put a KB/Whipple/Magnuson to them.

Edit: 1 less valve

Great #s, do those increase compression like the eagles?

No, they have a slightly larger chamber than 6.1's. Compression would drop from 10.3:1 down to 10.2:1. Wouldnt even be noticeable really.

Wow, cool you are doing this.

Is there much of a problem mounting these on a 5.7 or 6.1 motor? I hear they have o-rings or something weird like that.

Take those ported numbers with a grain of salt. I have never seen a 6.1 flow over 355 on our bench but the stock 6.1 flow numbers are lower than what we usually see. If photobucket is working today I will post our flow numbers from the same bench as the 6.4 flow numbers.

Springs are taller and no longer use that dampner locator.

No longer a perfectly round chamber

The underside is very different although everything lines up and matched perfectly.
6.4

6.1

Intake Port

The 6.4 is still consider "D-Shaped", but its very angular. We can fix that. :)

$2000 plus core

Very cool pics bud. Thanks for posting

Psst the gaskets are on backwards ;) :)
You and Eric are so quick to point out dumb stuff like that. It was either stick it up there for a picture, or open a brand new gasket for a picture. Sheesh:werd:
