4.44 was my best last year on D/R's. I have more HP now so wheel spin is a real problem. But I am going to a 9" Ford IRS So I am sure I can shave some wheel spin/time off my personal best. 70

traction control off. must be right because the computer tells me so right!!!

this is why I say the computer times are total BS.

I could of got a 1.5 if I wanted to try harder.

For a true calculation of timed acceleration runs Chrysler should have found a way to get the speed sensor reading for the EVIC from the front tire. Sensors reading from the tranny or rear wheels are greatly affected by wheel spin.

agreed. I think the only one that works halfway decent is the braking one.

The timer said I was doing 60 and my car was barely moving because I was doing a burnout. people who think their 0-60 times are accurate are sadly mistaking.

again, take your car to the track and get a 1/4 or 1/8 mile run to see what your car can do not these BS times.

Ok here are my best times...

On all runs I also had my G-Timer GT2 running as back up so I will post both times...

2008 Charger SRT8 Auto
Mopar CAI
Mopar Cat-Back
Predator 93 Tune

Temp 69
Sealevel
Asphalt (10:15 AM)

EVIC 0-60 4.59
G-Tech 0-60 4.7

Most tests by the press had them at 4.8-5.0

2009 Challenger SRT8 6 Speed
Mopar CAI
Mopar Cat-Back
Mopar Strut Tower Brace
Mopar F/R Sway Bars
Mopar KW Adjustable Coil-Overs
85mm TB
Predator 93 Tune

Temp 67
Sealevel
Asphalt (11:30 AM)

EVIC 0-60 4.69
G-Timer 0-60 4.76

Most test by the press had them at 4.6-4.9

2011 Challenger R/T Classic Auto
K&N Drop-In Air Filter

Never Tested

Most test by the press have them at 5.0-5.5

This is from MotorTrend:

When we first tested the Challenger R/T, we recorded a 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds. For 2011 that number drops to 5 seconds flat. In the quarter mile the old car banged off a 13.6 second run at 104.9 mph compared to the new car's run of 13.5 seconds at 105.9 mph.

2012 Challenger SRT8 Auto
100% Stock

Temp 69
Sealevel
Asphalt (5:30 PM)

EVIC 0-60 4.46
G-Timer 0-60 4.42
Most test from the press have them at 4.4-4.6

This is from Edmunds test of the 2011 Challenger SRT8 Auto:

At the test track the Challenger lays down some impressive numbers. The 0-60-mph sprint comes in 4.5 seconds from a standstill, while the quarter-mile passes in 12.6 seconds at 112.1 mph. That's scary quick by any measure. Notably, the engine is smooth and refined even when pressed hard, giving it an easygoing no-sweat sort of personality that's easy to like.

My goal when she is broken in with a K&N drop-in is 4.3-4.5

Decided to play with my 0-60 on the way home from the market. 4.78 with the only mod being an Arrington CAI. Can't wait to get that a little lower.

if your 12.6 is from a run at a track post up a time slip so I can add you to the 392 and top 50 list.

0-60 time

Did this the other day and had 3.50. It was around 49 degrees, I have
the Arrington 426/maggie with SHR trans, but have stock tires and stock
peg leg 3.06 rearend. I used autostick, had to baby it and never went
WOT but have no doubt with LSD and better tires I could lower that
alot.

Ok here we go...

F1 tires at stock pressure, 645 miles on the odometer it was 69 F and the asphalt temp was about 72 F @ sea level (Miami, FL)...

First attempt the rear came lose even with TC on and the time was 4.78

Second attempt with TC still on and rolling into the throttle a little less aggressive, she spun then hooked up for a 4.46. (G-Timer said 4.42…) Did not really try hard so I know there is a 4.3 in her and if conditions are right I am pretty sure she could do a 4.26-4.28, will try again when I get a chance. (These cars are impressive and definitely underrated, 4260 pounds and pulling low 4 second 0-60 times...)

The issue is not power it is hooking up / traction, I would not be surprised to see close to 4.0 flat with sticky tires and dropping the pressure...

When I first got mine it was 90 degrees at night and the best I could pull was about 5.4. After CAI I was at 5.2, still hot outside.

After the temps dropped into the 40-50 range and I added the other mods in my sig I've dropped to 4.76 with no spinning.

At this point with TC on I really have to be gentle with the throttle or I will spin for 10-20 feet.

Sorry, Firehawk GT 20".

I've been shopping, thinking of changing my wheels and going 10" wide on the back with 275's and switching to Nittos but it is my DD so I don't want 5-10k mile tires...
