What are these 6 wires going into the seat back are for?
I know at least 2 are for heating but I’m not sure the rest of the other 4 are for.
Can anyone explain this to me? Help would be Highly Appreciated? Thanks

Does your seat have power movement?

Such as moving forward, backward, up, down, tilt, lumbar? Maybe that's what they are for.

Also I know the passenger seat has some kind of wiring for letting the airbag know whether to activate or not based on the weight in the seat.

with an '09 (SRT) & R/T w/ leather there was:
fore / aft adjustment
front thigh support
rear seat height
power recline

lights in seat back shell for rear seat area (headliner didn't have lighting until '11)

Yes Sir Ashoka,
I believe they are 8 way power and possibly driver memory 2008 model year.
The idea with these SRT8 seats is to install them into a
( 95 Impala SS ) I’m trying to figure out what wires I need for power and ground that’s all. I’m sure there are at least 4 wires that need power. One for each of the 3 power motors. I know some of the wires will not be used. The squat switches for seat weight are also not going to be used. In fact the weight squat switches will be completely removed. The seat belts have already been completely removed.

I messed up on this posting from the start. I should have clarified that these seats will be installed in a 95 Impala SS. I guess that would have been more sensible. For simplifying the wiring issue.

First ever 1995 Impala SS with 2008 SRT8 seats installed all power works great. A lot more comfortable than the SS seats.

FYI - if you ever need wiring diagrams for vehicles there is a sticky with a link to the online chiltons manual.

Thanks Chally,
It was easy once I threw the memory seat module in the garbage can and rang out the wiring in the SS. Not a whole lot of seat wiring diagrams anywhere online for the SRT8 seats. Dodge Ram trucks everything is covered online. I Got’em done Jack. 😀
