anyone have a problem with the front struts?I backed my 2010 srt with
600 miles out of the garage let it sit and warm up in the driveway. noticed a oil spot on the driveway by the left front tire. After fighting the crapy
cap covered lug nuts ( I thought they quit using these years ago) I removed the tire and found the strut was leaking oil. The boot on top of
the strut was loose and wadded up in the spring. Can't imagine what would
cause this because I have driven it like a 80 year old grandma to break it in.To say I'm dissapointed is a under statement :icon_evil:

Sounds like a defective shock unit.

Years ago I had a Bilstein strut that seized up a short while after I installed it - the replacement was good and lasted many years (was still on the car when I traded it in), so it can happen that a bad shock strut turns up once in a while.

A trip to the dealer for warranty replacement (and make sure they re-check alignment after doing the work) will take care of it.
