I expect it to show up later this week and I'm looking for install tips and tricks. It's the stage two kit, I hope it wakes my SRT up. So far all I have is a CAI, preditor, and Tstat. My car is an auto so any tips to make it live will be good. Is the procharger tune any good or should I look into a WBo2.

Thanks gents. I can't wait to pick up some HP :)

I would get a safe custom tune from a well known shop that works with hemi's. Your gonna love the power, havn't driven a ProCharged SRT8 but I have driven a KenneBell supercharged SRT8 and it is fun! Being able to smoke the tires at 40 is also a nice benefit lol

I have the Stage 2 D1SC and its been great. I do have alot of opinions about the install, parts required, ect since it is fairly recent on my install. It will definately wake the car up, and is a hell of a lot more fun. Be patient with all aspects of the install and tuning. Do not expect everything to fit exactly right, or for the first tune to be perfect for you.

Proper injectors (which are usually not in the Procharger Kit), the new ATI crank balancer which you will need (again not shipped with the kit) spark plugs, Boost a pump or new fuel pumps are not included in the Stage 2 kit. The vendor you bought it from probably is looking after those parts for you, but do not overlook these pieces.

Make sure you check the items shipped from Procharger to ensure they shipped the correct belts ect.

1) get the wide band 02 sensor and A/F/R guage to be safe and for tuning purposes. A boost guage is nice to have also.

2) Spark plugs. I only went 1 step colder, but I may change to go 2 steps. My car has been running great on 94 octane, but on 91 I get some STKN on the sensors. ( we don't have 93 octane in Western Canada and only Husky/Mohawk do 94)

3) Look at getting wider tires on the rear end. You will want a larger footprint to go with the power.

4) If you are having it installed by a third party, learn as much as you can about the install so you can change the belt later, change the oil in the head unit ect. If your doing it yourself, be patient and know that its not an 8 hour job. You will be relocating pieces, a little trim work, and certain components are tightly fit. When its done though it looks great.

5) have the belts tightened again after putting some miles on the car. Also have the alignment of the belts/pulleys again.

6) I changed the oil in the headunit for the first time when we tightened the belts. (roughly 600-700 miles) Now I will do it according to their specs of 6000 miles. The helical gears are nice and the noise is acceptable. It provides a nice whine but at first it can seem loud and unusual. I found it got better after putting miles on the car.

6) Use the initial tune to get onto a dyno to ensure you are running safe. It will also provide you with more data to get retuned., Have it re-tuned as you get some miles on it. If you can datalog and send them to one of the highly regarded tuners around do so.

I did most of my research on this forum and from talking to people on here. There are some great people and resources available. Hope you will be happy with your Sc'er.

Thanks for the great post. I will be doing the install myself and know it will take me some time. I did not upgrade to the D1 unit because this car is not going to be an all out drag car. I have an old Plymouth for that. I'm really only worried about pulling the nose slash bumpercover off and drilling the crank. After that it should be a piece of cake.
I'm going through a local guy for the procharger but he's not converted any hemis. Just alot of mustangs. It should be here in a few days. I'll post install pics as I go.

My tune was dead nuts on the dyno. I had some trouble getting the intercooler to fit right. The welds were against the radiator core at the bottom. I oblonged the radiator support mounting holes a little bit to shift the radiator back and worked great. Id leave the black plastic trim over the radiators off for a little while so you can retighten your clamps easier at first. Pay attention to the fuel pump wires when installing the boost-a-pump. I went with 1 range cooler plugs. U will love it, very well mannered then she screams when you get on it

Getting close now. It's alot of parts to stick on but the box is almost empty. I'm thinking Monday it will run and hope to get it on the chassi dyno real soon to check the air/fuel. I think drag radials will be next :)

Its almost ready. I'm having a little trouble getting the drive belt on though. I have the stock belt and the cog belt on but for some reason I can't get the drive belt in place. I have the adjustable pully all the way down and try to open the stock looking tensioner up but I'm still a 1/2 inch or so short.
Anyway all I need to do is send the preditor file to procharger and finish reinstalling the nose and the rest of the stock stuff and this thing will be ready. I worked pretty hard on it but it was not that hard.

It's running pretty good now. I took it out for a cruz today and it ran pretty strong. It's a little more peppy off idle but as the RPM rise the pull keeps getting better and better. I never really got to WOT it but what I did get to do was pretty strong.
It is loud at idle though. It sounds like your "Blending Cats" lol

Hows the front fashia to take off? Iv heard you have to drill out rivets to take it off. This is the part that has always interested me.

Yep about six of them. There plastic and drill like butter. There the ones in the wheel well at the front. My kit came with replacements. There really not rivits, they have Allen heads and swell when you tighten them but they will start turning before they come out. Easy to drill though :)
after that the scary part was unsnapping it from the fenders. But it popped right out with a hit from the palm of my hand. Then it was just lifting it off and getting it out of the way. I was happy it was off once I started leaning all over it. ;)

next tricky part was drilling the crank. But it drilled easy as well. Just make sure the drill jig is tight.

Then getting the wires for the boost-a-pump to the trunk were not hard but a pita getting through the firewall.

It really was not hard but it was time consuming.

Finally took the procharged SRT to the dyno. The procharger tune put down 442HP but show'd lean on the A/F so out comes the preditor. We add fuel and it picks up so we add more and it picks up lol. So a long story short we end up at 472HP and it feels pretty good. But I want a muscle car sound now lol.

Seem like low numbers for a stage 2 on a 6.1??
