I did some searching around Challenger Forums and Facebook groups and found what I feel is one of the best mobile mounts I have ever used. Because I enjoy making videos I wanted to share this ProClip Video covering the purchase, install and my first impressions. enjoy..

I plan to put out a full review after a few weeks of use. So far this thing is pretty amazing as you can see from the beginning of my video I have used a LOT of mounts in my challenger.

I have one with a magnetic mount instead of their expensive slide in mount. It works great and just sticks on any angle I need. I love it.

Based on the video (OP-great write up by the way), I too just ordered one. I didn't see an option for a magnetic mount on the proclip website. Can you tell me where you got yours as that may be a better fit for me?

It isn't a proclip mount. It just attaches to theirs. It is only ten bucks and works beautifully.

Here is the eBay link
I can post pics of it if you want.

Will ProClip cause permanent warping?

I watched both your videos for the ProClip on youtube. I wanted to buy it for my 2017 Challenger but am a little hesitant. Do you guys know if it will cause permanent warping on the dash? I don't know if there is a better solution for a phone mount. The AC ones don't fit too well they keep falling off and the iPhone X is too heavy for the cigarette lighter ones I believe.

I was thinking about using the Skosche magnetic mount but you would have to use 3M tape I believe. I got the Oliv magnetic mount they sell at proclips. You attach it directly to the Challenger mount. It holds on very well. I don't really need the extender as you could adjust the phone with the new design. The new Challenger mount actually is horizontal instead of vertical. My extension doesn't work as a result. I might need to return it.

Rattling Proclips?

I've been driving it on the freeway for a day and that thing really rattles. I don't know if it's my oliv mount or what. I guess I can try removing the mount and seeing if it rattles. Anyone having rattling issues with the proclips?

My .02 cents...

Hello all, it's been 3 years and I have finally found a phone holder that works well in my challenger! I've read the posts on the pro clip phone holder but like many of you the fact that it forces the trim upwards has been a turn off. Thus this option was not one I proceeded with.

I did not want any phone mount on my windshield and I also did not want a vent mount or anything to do with magnets. I have always felt that anything on my windshield would impair my vision and thus did not want to pursue this route. My biggest concerns with any sort of vent mounts were that they would take away a vent from the car as the phone would block the flow of the air. Finally I figured that any sort of magnet holder wouldn't have the strength to hold the phone securely once I unleashead the beast lol.

It was almost by sheer chance that my girlfriend stumbled upon a magnetic vent clip car mount for her car. Upon trying it on her car and seeing that it was not blocking the air flow and how well it held her phone in place I decided to try it on my car!

Well needless to say I love it!!! Its small and not an eye sore, it holds my phone securely in place, and it does not take away or block the vent its on! The product is from the ihome brand named mag-air magnetic vent clip car mount, found it at a local TJ Max for the bargain price of $7.99!

I'm attaching some pictures for all of you who are still searching for a solution, hope it helps.
