Nothing is on the web. We will all have to wait 19 more days until the Feb. 6 Chicago Auto Show. :(

However, see Part VII of the Castiglione/Barrington interview. In the video, Alan Barrington, the interior designer, states that although some changes had to be made (the angle IP and the center stack are out), there is still a close similarity to the concept car- especially in the guages and doors. :D

The interior of this car is going to either sell me or not sell me. I want so badly to get an '09 with the 6 speed manual but I need to see the interior first...

Hopefully it will be much better than the Camaro. That's one of the most hideous dashboards I've ever seen.

How that got past the 2nd GM person to ever see it I'll never know. While it is a "pre-production" interior, the overall design is in place and has to be one of the worst interiors to ever come out of GM, or anyone else for that matter.

So who's going to be the first one to make a wood pistol grip shifter handle? :D

I'll be willing to bet any amount of money that Hurst will make a new one for that car. Shifter and all.

I personally dont care because to me most new interiors are 'cheap' and 'bland' looking compared to the older cars. Most are all grey with the same shit desings in cars. Every newer car I ever seen has the same damn headliner. That cheap ass fabric that starts to sag 5 years down the road. :( Remember back when interiors were as great looking as the outside of the car? And the headliners were built to last 30 plus years without sagging down??? Does nobody know how to make headliners anymore that don't sag? I guess not. and what I see of the interior looks like shit. Just like any other newer car. Sorry to say. Boring shit... The 70-74 Challengers had great looking interiors. All the different color vinyls that were offered. Woodgrain steering wheel and dash. Chrome trim. Sporty looking materials and gauges. This new interior IMO is just... sucky, boring, and doesn't really grab my attention whatsoever... Will this interior be offered in all the various colors of the original? White, black, Blue, brown, tan, red, green??? I say probably not. I say it will be offered in 'grey' or 'black' which is funny to me, because all the newer cars that have 'black' interior isn't really black. Its just grey. Dodge give us a real interior... Who will be the first to put custom 70-74 Style dash and interior in a new Chally?? Thats what I want to see. I wont feel like I'm driving a real 'Muscle car' when I'm surrounded by all this bland looking plastic shit. I'll feel like I'm driving just any average newer car... BORING

I understand the frustration with bland interiors but you can log the 8 interior colors under the same "ain't gonna happen" as the 15 exterior colors, 5 rear gear ratios, and 6 engine options. That said there are two complaints here: (1) crappy quality and bland visual statement and (2) lack of choice. While there may or may not be a fix for #2 there is no excuse for #1.

I personally think 4 interior colors (maybe black, red, white and tan) is really reasonable but we'll have to wait and see.

From the pictures I can tell I like the look of the shifter but the radio/knob area seems kind of uninspired - I could be looking at the inside of the old family Altima. Then again it may just be they raided the standard parts bin for the radio system and knob setup. I really hope they did a better job on the rest of the interior to distinguish this as a muscle car - inside and out.

And yea I'd go for the hurst shifter!

Wouldn't this be the 2009 since it is a manual?
Excellent observation, I would guess you're right. So the pics give us the layout and structure but as for the Finish this could be a base, R/T or SRT but a 2009 regardless.

At this point any info is good info!
