This is most likely a redundant post but I am looking for advice on the matter nonetheless, I have a 2009 Challenger SRT8 w/ 6-speed. About 2 months after I bought the car the Push to Start went out, and hasn't worked since (about 2 years). When I try to use the button, my evic flashes "key in" for half a second, then immediately turns on the solid red light in the bottom left of the fuel gauge, and says "Damaged Key". I'm told by Dodge technicians that I should replace my push button because somehow the car needs to recognize it, is it worth my time to replace the button or do I need to bite the bullet for their $400 charge to replace the whole module?

FYI - the 2009 had a couple a recall on the WIN system.

Have you checked if the recall was done on your challenger?

I checked it before but never knew there was a recall done on the WIN. Thank you for referencing it, as it hadn't been done yet to mine. I'll be calling Dodge promptly to get that serviced. Just seems odd that it would start having problems out of the blue?

Update: I contacted my dealer who checked the open recalls and said that the WIN Reprogram is not open on my car, therefore doesn't apply.
