Push pins/clips for rear fender liner at the bottom

399 Views 9 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  A Guy
I had to remove the rear (valence I believe it's called), to replace the rear reflector on my 2020 challenger. I had to remove 3 push pins on the rear fender liner to get it off the bottom of the bumper but I can't find what the replacement part number is or what they're called.

Here are some pictures of what I'm looking at. I looked all over the mopar website for these parts and couldn't find these. Anybody have a clue what they're called?

You need the Plastic Rivets can get a set at Harbor Freight...
yeah that's a plastic rivet. I added a extended fender flares on my 21 Mojave Gladiator, so it would have the same look as my 392 Wrangler. With the extreme recon package you get 35 inch tires and they stick out further. So Jeep made little fender flare extensions that go on the standard fender flares. They are held on with plastic rivets. Looks just like that.
I used these, Plastic_Rivets very cheap for 100.
and you need the rivet gun,-> Riveter. This tool comes with some rivets. Stick that long stem in the rivet tool and when you pull the trigger it pulls it up tight. The 'folded legs' you have in your rivet pic, that holds the two pieces together. Then you snip off the long stem. Works pretty cool.
I bought it for the Jeep, but I need it to replace the plastic rivets on the front fender-wells on the Challenger. I have those Oracle side marker light to put in the front. You have to take that inner fender liner loose to get to it supposedly.
hope that helps, If not I can take a pic of the rivets for you
have a good one

How did you get those out?
Thanks I went and got the plastic rivets from hobby lobby, will try it out. I got them out with a trim prying tool, the metal one
Hobby lobby works, (didn't know they had those rivets there) ? They don't have any telescopes!
Just drill out the center and the legs on the back of the rivet will loosen, and you just pull it or pry it out with one of those small fork tools, needle nose, or even a small flathead screw driver.
They come right out.

It's all good, you got them out is the main thing. 'Trim tool' I could not remember that name for some reason.
Yeah, I tell you, having those plastic rivets around, you will find all kinds of stuff to 'fix' with them.

have a good one!

You can also get various sizes and styles of nylon rivets and Xmas tree fasteners at Lowes hardware stores. About halfway down their nuts and bolts aisle, there are some drawers labeled Automotive Fasteners, and inside one or two of those they stock the different sizes and styles of plastic rivets and such used on automotive trim pieces.
