Has anyone installed the "Pypes" exhaust systems on their rides? Has
anyone heard this system? They seem to knowledgeable on their website but I want some opinions before spending cash.

I've used pipes systems on other cars but not the challenger. They are good for the money. I have not used any of their mufflers though. They normally fit very good.

Ive used Pypes on both my R/T and my SRT. I went with the Violator mufflers. You are going to get many different responces from members using other brands and their opinions on their choices. Best advice I could give you would be to go to a meet n greet and hear them for yourself.

I've got the Street Pro on my 2010 R/T Classic 6speed, and love them. The only thing is they were not installed in a muffler shop per se, and at first i was not 100% happy with the fit... i thought they hung too low (the tips left a gap about 2 inches between the top of the tips and the "hole" in the bumper for them). I took it last week to a proper muffler shop, where they adjusted it and now I'm very happy with the fit. Seems those hooks the Pypes have to hang them under your car were a bit long. Those were shortened and re-soldered at the muffler shop.

did you install them yourself? I plan on buying mine from summit racing. That is the best price I have found.

No man... as much as I love my car and love driving it, I'm very much mechanically challenged. I had them installed at a shop where they specialize and only work Chrysler/Dodge. Very professional, but they are not muffler specialists, so they just installed them as they came out of the box. Thus, a little more tweaking was needed for the "perfect" fit. I've seen others here that have not had this problem, so maybe it was just me. I'm very happy now after and extra $60 in a proper muffler shop.

Does the 3" Pypes violator system bolt right on to a 2009 Challenger R/T 6 speed or do you need to cut and weld to get them to fit?Pypes says on the website that system is for the SRT8.

GOOD choice! Pypes is out of the best sounding ones out there IMO. Those, and Zoomers get my picks.

NO it doesnt....the SRT system is 3" but has a reducer to 2 3/4" to mate up with the stock midpipes. The R/T system is a piddly little 2.5"

I have 1 7/8" Headers to a 3" collector on mine, so I just welded it straight up without using the reducer from pypes.

i love Pypes i have the street pro on my Se and it looks and sounds great! I bought it directly from pypes and had a muffler shop install it for $125.00 I do recomend that they do not use the clamps and have them weld it on. thats what i did at least. I think they are better than flowmaster.

I have the race pro mufflers on my pypes it is all about the sound they have a video of different sounds of the mufflers on pypes web site bought mine through summitt racing saved some money it took 1.5 hrs to take off the factory system and install the new one you might have to do some tweeking on the system after the install to get the tips to line up but that is all right by me. With the money you saved on this system you can buy something else for your ride.

I did put the Violator's on my auto....Sounds GREAT! Best for the money. I will say, around town, if I am not auto sticking there is a good amount of MDS drone under 65 MPH...particulary between 45 & 65 mph. I'm not expecting a quiet cabin, so it doesn't bother me too much....just crank the tunes!
