So from what I've read, the black key limits the horsepower to 500 by maxing out the rpms at 4000.
On a manual shift car, does this mean the fuel cutoff will engage at 4000 if you don't shift before then?

I'm not going to use the black key...moot point

The car has an electronic throttle so it could just back off as the RPMs approach 4000. On a side note I though valet mode limited RPMs not the black key.
maybe you are right....I assumed that would be the way to limit the hp...by limiting the rpms?
