I'm thinking about buying the kit from Speedlogix...Not really for weight savings I just can't handle the idea of 5 people in my car...I try really hard to pretend it's a LARGE coupe:)...My concerns are build quality...will it look like it was meant to be that way?...I don't want it to look like an afterthought...from the the photos provided the carpet colors seem slightly off...might just be the flash exaggerating the difference??...will the car be nosier rattles etc...and finally do the front seats have to come out to install the kit?...if anybody has installed the kit I'd love to see pics other than those supplied by Razor's Edge??

Rear seat deleate kit

I bought the kit and installed it on my 2010 R/T. You do not have to remove the front seats. The rear seats come right out, and the kit goes in without a fuss. You don't even have to screw it down it fits so well. I removed the kit when I traded my R/T in for my SRT, and found that I had to cut a couple of slots in the upright part to allow the seat latching brackets to poke through on my SRT. These brackets weren't present on my R/T. It looks fine though, and I think the kit matches up really well with the rest of the interior. What I've found is that I now have some really useful cargo space instead of a back seat that nobody will ever use. It works really well when I have to transport one or more of my cats in cat carriers, as the kit allows the carriers to sit perfectly flat. I can't tell any difference in the interior noise. The sound system in my SRT still sounds just as good. Send me a PM if you have any other questions you feel I can answer.

I would have to say it's a large coupe. No one ever complains, people actually say its comfortable for a 2 seater. Try sitting in the back of a Camaro or Mustang lol.

I can't replace my rear seats... I raced a buddy of mine (he has a Dodge Ram Daytona, 5.7L) and I whupped hisass. He told me he'll never race me again unless I put two fat chicks in my backseat, since his truck weighs about 1000 lbs more than the Challenger.

So, if I ever want to race him again, I gotta have a back seat.

Never dare a Texan! ;)

With a nod to Speedlogix whom I've purchased many things from, when they started the original thread on this, it gave me the idea to DIY one. But don't see why you couldn't alter theirs if U wanted. Coupes rule, no back set riders ever, man or meow, tee hee!
