its attachted to the headliner- also when you pull off the outer bezel first, the clips that hold the bezel will fall up in the cars shell-have to fish them out with a magnet- then the lighted part you have speed nuts that are nuted to the headliner, have to slightly pull the liner down to get to the nuts

be careful, the people that I had do mine broke the clips.
Didn't even bother telling me.
Had to take it to the dealer to get fixed.
Also they did a sup par job on the lines around defroster ( granted I knew it was not going to be perfect)

Just make sure you check it before you leave.

Is there enough room for them to squeegee out any bubbles?

JFF:D
No bubbles in mine. I didn't actually see him squeegee it though, so can't say for sure

Mine was slid under with out removal also, no bubbles somehow. You can hardly see the light during the day.

I took the brake light out when I tinted mine. However, there is quite a bit of room and we have tools that can squeegees behind it no problem. Installer's preference really. Just dont let 'em cut around it ;-)

I had him cut around the light. Don't want to get rearended because the light was covered by tint. :disgust:
